Cleaner trying on employers makeup

Would this be a sackable offense for most?
It's a new cleaner by the way. Self employed, so no agency.

Also it was a lipstick.
House owner had left the house but came back to retrieve forgotten item and caught cleaner in the act.

LMAO at the fictional fantasy post.

The lady who was the employer gave the cleaner a second chance.

I just personally couldnt get past it.

Also to those that have said the cleaner could have flung the lipstick down. The cleaner was mid application of a very bright coloured lipstick that she wasnt wearing when she arrived.
The cleaner also apologised and said it wont happen again.
Apparantly she just wanted to see what the shade would look like on her.

Well clearly I'm massively in the minority here but I'm not going to sack a self employed or minimum wage worker in the middle of a pandemic because they put a foot wrong and tried on my lipstick

Up to you, but I think it’s a bit of an understatement to say they ‘put a foot wrong’. It’s not like they left the window open.

She’s very likely to have more than just one client. She’ll be fine. Unless they’ve all caught her trying on their lippy.

Then you deserve every cold sore, virus and whatever it is that makes your crotch burn, that you get.

Would you feel so zen if they’d had a bash on your toothbrush? Because I don’t think that’s vastly different!

rubyjoo2 · 27/01/2021 23:55

that is horrible in the context that ok yes its just lipstick but if shes happy to use your lipstick when you're not there, what else would she use? your dildo? your toothbrush?

MissMarpleDarling · 28/01/2021 00:16

I get cold sores when stressed as I'm sure others do, so would say sharing lipstick is nasty.

2021namechanger · 28/01/2021 00:19

In usual times I’d probably get over it. In covid times, no.

DenisetheMenace · 28/01/2021 00:19

Thought this was going to be trivial, but good grief, just no. Out of order any time but now, get rid.

thosetalesofunexpected · 28/01/2021 00:38

@seaclaidte
Former house keeper here,
this cleaner is a disgrace.!
A cheecky fucker,and a Skanky dirty one at that.
you can catch cold sores or even Covid.!

I would get rid of her, cleaner A.s.a.p

if she sprayed perfume she would still be a cheeky fucker !
give her warning crossed a boundary type of thing.

thosetalesofunexpected · 28/01/2021 00:40

@seaclaidte
I agree this cleaner she is nasty,
doing that.

thosetalesofunexpected · 28/01/2021 00:45

@rubyjoo2

Ewee
Cleaner could use dildo or toothbrush !
I can see where you are coming from though.
Its not vastly different thing to do .😕

partyatthepalace · 28/01/2021 07:37

That made me laugh, but yes - I’d sack them.
