What i found in teenage sons room

Ok I was rearranging and tidying my sons room while he is at his fathers. I was changing his bedside cabinet for a smaller one and in doing so I was sorting and tidying his underwear and socks. I saw a sock that was dirty (the sole) so took it out to throw in the pile of washing, as thought he had shoved it in by mistake. This is where it gets weird, I found a thong inside the sock that's not mine and looks like he was wanted into it!! Ds is 14 and the only other woman it could belong to is his dads wife. I'm now petrified that he's going to be a weirdo or that there is something mentally wrong with him, my anxiety is through the roof and I don't know what to do about it, I don't know what I'm looking for by posting this maybe some reassurance or an explanation as to why he would I dunno ,please help me out

Put it back, never mention it.

NuniaBeeswax · 23/01/2021 15:05

Let's all tell OP stories about our masturbating teenagers everybody... 🙄

CarolVordermansBum · 23/01/2021 15:05

DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT pick up any single socks in a boy's bedroom. You need hazmat gear and a full training day

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

nimbuscloud · 23/01/2021 15:05

@NuniaBeeswax

Yep

BrightYellowDaffodil · 23/01/2021 15:05

Fuck me, when did a teenage boy - or indeed anyone - possessing (in order to wear or whatever else) the underwear of the opposite sex make them a “weirdo” or mentally ill? Unless he stole them, leave the kid be.

MonkeyPuddle · 23/01/2021 15:06

Teenagers are grim 😂

Backtoschool101 · 23/01/2021 15:07

Could be a lot worse op!

Yea dont go through your sons drawers anymore. That's all you need to know here.

whenthestarsgoblue · 23/01/2021 15:09

Bloody hell overreaction much! Teenage boys masturbate - it's normal! Put it back and leave it be. Certainly don't bring it up and completely mortify him!
You have no idea how long he's had the thong, unless you check the drawer daily,
It may have been there ages. No evidence it's the step mums.

Cheeserton · 23/01/2021 15:09

Yeah, stop snooping through your 'teenage son's' room then. What were you hoping to find there? Bible study notes?

SummerHouse · 23/01/2021 15:09

So he's wanted into a thong in a sock. Standard. Very normal for teenage boys to want. Smile

How can it only possibly belong to one person though?

FredaFox · 23/01/2021 15:10

You lost me at weirdo
He’s exploring his sexuality, he’s a teenage boy, let him do his thing

Tavannach · 23/01/2021 15:11

Yep...you'd have a heart attack if you knew what I'd stumbled across in my 16yo DDs bedroom over the last 6 months.

And before anyone mentions snooping...I was doing a very careful surface tidy/clean as she'd had a shitty week and thought it would be a treat for her to get home to a nice cosy room to chill out in. The hoover hit a box up the side of her bed which burst open and suffice to say I will not be doing any kind of tidying in there again!

@Worriedmommaofteenageboy if your son have just had new wardrobes fitted, why isn't he sorting his stuff out?

supersonicginandtonic · 23/01/2021 15:11

Poor kid, no privacy whatsoever!

There was no need to even look in the sock, who even does that! 🤷‍♀️

Mucky1 · 23/01/2021 15:12

I think you should wait till he's asleep go into his room and burn some sage over his sleeping form whilst whispering demons be gone. Then go into the garden burn the thing and bury it in a hole and say a little prayer. Or you can put it back pretend you never saw it, move on with your life and take this shock as a lesson learned about privacy. 🤣🤣🤣👍

ParlezVousWronglais · 23/01/2021 15:13

Well you’re never, ever going to know what it’s doing there for sure, so you’re just going to have to move on and ‘forget’ about it.

As others have said you don’t go through teenager’s draws. In future ask them to transfer their stuff to new cabinets.

Nowayhozay · 23/01/2021 15:13

You must have had a very sheltered life if you think that a male wearing or masturbating with female underwear makes them a weirdo! As a mum to a cross dresser I actually find the assumption rather offensive.
I agree with the other posts, you need to respect the poor lads privacy. Put it back and move on.

LittleBirdBlu · 23/01/2021 15:14

You have massively invaded his personal space, put it back and never mention it to him or anyone else. How would you like it if he went through your underwear draw?

Macncheeseballs · 23/01/2021 15:14

Why in gods name are you tidying his underwear draw

Chambored · 23/01/2021 15:14

Have you never seen American Pie Op!

Batfurger · 23/01/2021 15:15

I'm clearing through my late mum's stuff for my dad. I am doing plenty of drawer shutting and eye bleaching.

For a teenaged boy, I'd say that's pretty tame.

whenthestarsgoblue · 23/01/2021 15:15

@MintyCedric the same thing happened when I was 16 with my mum Blush bless her heart she never said a word, but I knew it had moved 😂 I now have a 6 years DD and have already braced myself for the teen years 😂

DynamoKev · 23/01/2021 15:16

Is this serious? Has to be joke, surely.
