My really really unpopular opinion tonight is Pepsi is better than Coke.

Coke is the best. Pepsi is cloyingly sweet, and always seems a bit flat. Like a melted Cola ice pop.

All of the crap with sweetener is nasty, max, diet, zero. Sweetener has such an unpleasant aftertaste.

Only Pepsi under duress in a pub where there's fuck all else to drink that's not ruined with sweetners.
It is this that's ruined the pub trade if you're not out to drink alcohol.

I don’t think I would know the difference, have no preference. But it definitely needs to be diet otherwise it is too sweet and I also think it is pointless calories that I could be using on something else. 😊

Don't think I've had full sugar Pepsi since 1981....

I don't prefer one over the other as they are slightly different.
However, I had a friend who only drank coke that came in the small glass bottles, saying it tasted so much better. I laughed at her til I tried it - tastes like coke always used to taste!

Diet pepsi is the best but I was legit addicted to it. Gone from two liters a day to one can. Feeling much better. I drank two liters a day for about five years.

Coke Zero for every day use, Pepsi Max is second choice, then diet Pepsi.
Diet Coke last, it tastes very strange.

Another former Pepsi max addict here. Had my last glass on NYE 2020.

I was drinking around 2l a day, sometimes more. It was definitely time to stop.

Full fat coke is nicer than full fat pepsi, but sugar free varieties pepsi max reigns supreme

@LochJessMonster Apparently in a numerous blind taste tests, the overwhelming majority preferred Pepsi but when they were labelled, people chose Coke. they didn’t prefer it , it’s sweeter so the response to the brain made them initially choose Pepsi. If they had hung around for 15 minutes and slowly drank a full glass the results would have been different.

I love Pepsi, love Coke too, probably prefer Pepsi though.

Cherry Coke beats them all!
