To ask your VERY early pregnancy symptoms

Hi all,
New to mumsnet! I am currently 6-7DPO.

I have been feeling SUPER 'heavy' in my lower stomach all day, feels like AF is on the way at any given moment! Lots of light / dull cramps / fluttery feelings in my stomach too.
I've been SO TIRED it's unreal; I could barely keep my eyes open today.

Can I ask what early signs you guys had when you got pregnant?

Was on a two hour journey for work and cried about 17 times at the radio, at silly thoughts that came into my head. I literally couldn’t stop crying at absolutely everything and nothing.

Decided to take a test when I got home and was 5 weeks pregnant.

So tired I could fall asleep standing up, queasy, heightened sense of smell.

I’ve found out that I’m pregnant with a positive test at 3 weeks and 3 weeks 2 days - if I’ve had a hunch I’ve been right.

Hugely thirsty. To the extent I was considering stopping at motorway services to get chocolate milk when I was 20 mins away from my destination.

Did this pass? I’m 12 weeks and drinking so much! I’ve not risk factors for GD. I don’t remember it in my previous pregnancies.

Itchy nipples and dripping armpits.

Can I ask, did any of you have cold like symptoms? I've been really stuffy / blocked up since ovulation, only now beginning to clear up. X

Tiredness like I had never known before or since. The smell of tea made me gag. I love tea.

I saw my brother a couple of days before my bfp with my eldest and he later told my mum he knew as I seemed different to him. God knows what that meant!

I spent a night completely sleepless because of needing to pee so.fucking. often! I didn’t notice so much in the daytime it wasn’t so obvious, but literally every time I went back to bed I needed to pee again within 15 mins or so.

The first pregnancy I didn’t really twig, the second (and subsequent pregnancies) it was the thing that prompted me to take a test, and they were positive from the morning following that sleepless night every time and didn’t have any other symptoms at all. (I’ve had five children)

Actually on my 4th baby I had the sleepless pee fest and sore boobs at the same time, tested positive the next day.

Nothing that early I don’t think.

I guess in the run up to period being due I felt really tired and like I was coming down with something. Falling asleep on the sofa at 7pm. But also quite disturbed sleep at night (which has continued right through pregnancy and up to now, even when baby sleeps well I still don’t)

Weeing more than normal, quite a lot more. I thought it was because I’d switched to chamomile tea in the day

Then I had my period or so I thought but it kept stopping and starting and so I eventually tested and got my bfp.

I can’t remember when it came in but at some point early on there was a lot of burping. That was the weirdest one! I hardly ever burp normally!

I had the nose of a bloodhound from about 10 DPO. I also had a couple of faint and dizzy spells and nearly passed out in B&Q! Both symptoms appeared before I got my BFP.

My boobs felt so hot and throbby I kept checking them- I was sure they were going to look red and glowing!

The smell superpower kicked in a couple of days later (and stayed for 9 months). These remain the craziest pregnancy symptoms I had, and I’d never even heard they were a thing until I had them!

PS I didn’t throw up once, even though it’s always the first/only pregnancy symptom in TV and movies. I guess that’s just easier to show on screen, or more dramatic, than some of the others on this thread?

I’ve been pregnant 5 times. Always hyper aware of any changes to my body and known by 11dpo. Strange dreams is the biggest indicator for me.

I am 13 weeks with my 1st pregnancy, before taking the test to confirm it, I noticed that my lips were really dry and crackng (that's seriously out of the ordinary for my, lips were always well hydrated). Then one night in bed I turned on my side and brushed againgst my right boob and it was reaaly painful and tender, this made me think I was pregnant. However I was feeling sick, nausea leading up to the week I should have started my period, and I was experiencing lower back pain which is my usually warning sign that my period is starting.

Those things made me think I was pregnant and I tested two days after my period should have started.

In my pregnancy, I had really bad nausea/sick, still dry lips, achey boobs, however I was completely suprised about how tired/completely wiped out I was/am from so early on.
Can't stand any smells, fish, meat, puoltry even vegetables!! I have no apetite at all but need to eat every three/ four hours to combat sicknes and if I don't then feel like my stomach is gnawing itself.

Also experienced cramps on stomach and tenderness around my pelvis on my left side, even now can't sleep on my left side.

I was working on the Wednesday and someone came in having had a cigarette and it made me gag. I don't usually like the smell so didn't think too much into it. Then that evening after work I made myself a G & T and it made me throw up. I tested the next morning (Thursday) and a faint line came up then disappeared. I waited till the Sunday, which was the day my period was due, still unable to stomach cigarette smell, to test and the lines appeared basically straight away. From around 6 weeks I suffered horribly with nausea in the evening, that lasted most of my pregnancy! I could tell it was 5pm by the sudden onset

One randomly sensitive nipple. To the point where I almost cried changing in the gym.
Followed by random sporadic spotting.
Then a hangover that lasted three days. . Had a BFN the day I went out and a BFP two days later.

I was trying to prepare a chicken for a roast dinner and I just couldn't stop crying and couldn't touch it let alone eat it. Only ever been like that when pregnant.

The only really early one I had was that I didn't want any alcohol. Bought a glass of wine in a pub and didn't drink it, few days later did the same. Took a test a few days later when period was 1 day late. Couple of weeks after positive test I had crampy stomach ache a lot.

Hot flushes. With my second I’m sure I even felt implantation.

Metallic taste even before my period was due.

I’ve had shooting pains down my thighs when my period was due, I also tend to feel nauseous when my period is due.

Earlier signs I was pregnant were being able to smell everything and it making me feel sick (the fridge for example...) and strong cramps, much stronger than my usual period pains.

I had completely different signs with all three of mine. I actually didn't have any with dc3 although I ended up the worst morning sickness and nausea with her. She's my only dd but who knows if sex has anything to do with it.

Sore boobs, funny taste in mouth and STRANGE dreams. Continued to have the dreams every night until I had my kids!

A lot of that mucus plug stuff. It was way more than when ovulating and it was one of my first symptoms. Then I got the usual ones - sore boobs, slight spotting, hungry all the time, very tired!

Oh yes erm, bit weird but so much saliva at night!

The smell or though of my morning coffee made we want to vomit and then I actually did. All 4 pregnancies my earliest symptom.

I did a test when my period was due as I'd felt travel sick and felt worse than normal on a hangover. I was pregnant.

I was in denial for a few weeks but within a few days of the test i went for a weekend away with a friend and we went out for a huge pizza. In the middle of the night I had to get up and scoff the free biscuits in the hotel bathroom as I was starving. Not like me at all. And then when I got home my husband had cooked some soup and i had to open all the windows, the house absolutely stank. Apart from it didnt apparently it was just my sense of smell going mad
