Sources of information
and cross referencing are
ESSENTIAL
to find the actual verifiable facts of any story
it can be done using Twitter
it can be done using Google
it can be done using Wikipedia
but the key point is that it HAS to be done
by each of us
every day
Plus
reading what you are reading.
It's a classic trick of agenda-driven media to scream a headline (remember Betteridges law) which suggests or implies one thing, whereupon actual reading of the story reveals it's the exact opposite. But everyone quotes the headline.
IS CORBYN A GAY SOVIET PLANT WHO HARBOURED IRA TERRORISTS ?
is an example. It's no on every count of the indictment headline. But what will people remember on the day Corbyn passes away ?
Wasn't he that bloke what helped gay IRA terrorist with Russian gardens ?
Apologies if this is drifting into an egg-grandmother intersection, but it's quite common to find oneself rebutting "stories" that really do it themselves.
