@Roussette
MaggieFS for me I get info and stuff like that from all over the place because I'm glued to it far too much
People hate Twitter but it doesn't half give you the news and info quickly, far far quicker than you'd pick up from media sites direct or watching the news, so I do get to know a lot from there but I do follow a lot of reliable sources on there.
Twitter is GREAT if you use it for a newsfeed and balance your sources and know who is reliable and generally useful.
(There are some great political journalists for the mail and the sun or with political leanings i dislike who do good work)
I don't use twitter for chatting or posting drivel or just following celebs generally.
It is kind of like the modern day equivalent of the massive news agencies who had thousands more reporters back in the day and filed stuff back to HQ - but you are the one who picks the stories which interest you most rather than the editor doing it for you.
It removes the gatekeepers.
This is also why its bad and can be used for disinformation and to feed the ideology of people who only look for confirmation bias.
