That's about it in a nutshell.
He's admitted to being a 'touchy-feely' person given to hugs and spontaneous gestures of affection without thinking of how they might be received. There are many such people, male and female. I tend to be a bit 'huggy' myself and try to be aware of it.
When he was called on it he apologized to all he may have offended and took on board the lesson in body autonomy, especially with females. He listened and he learnt.
Unlike DOOFUS who continues to make remarks about women's looks and sexual attractiveness wrt their intelligence or ability to do a job. His greatest 'insult' to a woman is to say they're unattractive, as if that's the quality each woman values the most in herself.
As far as Cruz, he's seeing himself as DOOFUS redux, the 'heir apparent' for 2024. I think we're going to see him 'modeling' a lot of DOOFUS' mannerisms and words as time goes by. By this time next year I expect to see him with an orange face and a lemon-blond combover.
