Trump's departure ceremony at Joint Base Andrews on the morning of the 20th is expected to be like a state visit departure event, per admin official familiar with planning. Color guard, military band, 21 gun salute and red carpet all under consideration for event, at the moment.

Biden getting the @POTUS twitter handle after inauguration but without Trump's 33 million followers (I believe he inherited 12 million from Obama's @POTUS account).

Can't decide whether that's a good or bad thing - Biden might not want some of Trump's followers.

I agree with you all. I can't believe that so many Republican lawmaker are still defending Trump. But I think it's a case of self-interest for most of them, as they know that Trump is still very popular with his fanbase.
