for wanting to hold down the stupid haidresser who has just turned me into a brunette instead of a redhead, and shave her head?

Grrrrrrrr...

FIVE HOURS at the hairdressers. What a waste of a day. They coloured it (from very blonde) to a copper colour, which was cool but a tad too bright, and also (and more pertinently) the colour didn't take all over. So after leaving me sitting there for 40 minutes while she worked on another client , she redid the whole lot and now I am freakin' brunette! Which is fine if you want to be a brunette, BUT I DON'T!

5 hours, 2 cups of tea and 3 measly biscuits. I need a glass of wine NOW.

Ohhh you poor rabbit, I would complain bitterly and get refunded.

I'm hold her down, you can shave her

TheUnholyTrinityRhino · 26/10/2007 17:43

obvioulsy that should read I'll hold her.....

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 17:45

Or give her a pudding basin haircut

Wonderful DH has been reassuring me that it still looks nice, and the colour is OK, it's just not what I wanted. I passed a girl with gorgeous red hair on the way home and nearly burst into tears!

You'll just have to be an intelligent brunette for a while instead of a dumb blonde

Could be worse, you could be a grey nothing!

DabblesInDarknessWithALightOn · 26/10/2007 17:49

what did she say to you?
did she apologise???

talulasmum · 26/10/2007 17:51

does it look good ?

SpawnChorus · 26/10/2007 17:51

How infuriating. I bet you look ravishing anyway though.

This talk of miscreant hairdressers is making me edgy about my big chop tomorrow.

squishie · 26/10/2007 17:52

what a nightmare, did you pay? are you going back?

SpawnChorus · 26/10/2007 17:55

Oh God...you didn't tip did you? I always tip when I hate it.

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 17:57

Rationally it looks OK. I'll need to wear a shedload of makeup (I don't normally wear much at all) because I look paler than usual - and that's saying something!

They discounted it and gave me loads of free product.

Did I tip! Noooooooooo.

You don't get red rabbits. Other than from Ann Summers (allegedly).

screamsprout · 26/10/2007 18:12

You poor thing. I bet it looks fab but when it's not what you wanted, it's just pants.

heifer · 26/10/2007 18:12

Couldn't resist I'm afraid....

Q. Why does a brunette have a see-through lunchbox?
A. To know whether she's coming from or going to the office

Q. Why does a brunette have curtains on her PC?
A. To open windows

Q. Why can't brunettes `tease' their hair?
A. Because it's not funny

Q. Why are brunettes so proud of their hair?
A. It matches their mustache

and the best....

Q. What is the most frustrated animal in the world?
A. A brunette rabbit

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 18:13

But I'm naturally a bloody redhead anyway!

I was this this morning, but I wanted to have this colour which is more or less my natural colour - but I got this instead.

I think you'll find it'll fade. I've used a mahogany before and it starts out dark but fades redder with washing.

Neverenoughpumpkins · 26/10/2007 18:18

Did you discuss it with them? Sounds like you did if they discounted etc? Presumably they can't correct it?
Commiserations-very vexatious for you!

EffiePerine · 26/10/2007 18:21

Oh no! At least it isn't pink

you were warned about this I recall [ducks]

screamsprout · 26/10/2007 18:21

Wow, that really is a few shades out. It will fade but that's not what you spent a pile of money on.

BarbieGirl · 26/10/2007 18:24

I personally prefer the colour you have got now.

Slubberdegullion · 26/10/2007 18:26

Oh dear, poor you.

Might you need to go and buy a new pair of shoes tomorrow to go with your new brunnette hair? That might help.

I read somewhere that brunnettes often need a completely different shoe selection to blondes or red heads, so the top and bottom match or harmonise (lie).

callmeovercautious · 26/10/2007 18:27

Red colouring does not take well over blond, my sister turned pink They should have known this!

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 18:29

Slubbers, you just KNOW I am going shoe shopping tomorrow.

It actually was fairly close to the colour I wanted after the first go, but there was a big patch where the colour hadn't taken
