for wanting to hold down the stupid haidresser who has just turned me into a brunette instead of a redhead, and shave her head?

Grrrrrrrr...

FIVE HOURS at the hairdressers. What a waste of a day. They coloured it (from very blonde) to a copper colour, which was cool but a tad too bright, and also (and more pertinently) the colour didn't take all over. So after leaving me sitting there for 40 minutes while she worked on another client , she redid the whole lot and now I am freakin' brunette! Which is fine if you want to be a brunette, BUT I DON'T!

5 hours, 2 cups of tea and 3 measly biscuits. I need a glass of wine NOW.

did someone just post? I have that "ignore specific posters" thing enabled, I just see blanks...

OP posts:
heifer · 26/10/2007 18:33

lol....

heifer · 26/10/2007 18:34

that's more like it... we need more banter on MN...

Slubberdegullion · 26/10/2007 18:36

You could go for just the most massive pair of heels ever (to achieve multiple orgasm feet), as now you are dark you will have much better spatial awareness and proprioceptive skills.

It is a commonly held lie belief that blondes suffer far more ankle injuries than brunettes as they have rubbish balance skills.

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 18:38

I have lost my ability to frame witticisms now I am brunette .

Soon I will forgett how too spel

HairyIrene · 26/10/2007 18:42

i would be livid
this has put me off being brave!

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 18:45

Who knows

I wish DH would get on a move on with my restorative cider! Maybe if I pour it over my head, it will improve things!

OP posts:
belcantavinissima · 26/10/2007 18:45

oh noooooo, and it took you ages to decide to go ahead with it (tis indiasmum here btw!)

heifer · 26/10/2007 18:55

don't you dare waste cider - the spillage fine would be huge...

If you are really desperate try carrot juice

NAB3 · 26/10/2007 19:13

I can see why you are mad. Not like just one shade out! It is a nice colour though, but no consolation whewn not what you wanted.

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 19:15

I have cider. Things are better now. My mother will be here in 2 minutes and I will get an honest opinion

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 20:21

Well, I'm now wearing enough slap to make Jordan proud, and DH says "phwoar" so I guess I can live with it

OP posts:
Slubberdegullion · 26/10/2007 20:26

Well I reckon if you can get a whole new range of cosmetics and new shoes to compliment your mistake new look then it's not such a bad thing.

And a phwoar noise out of your DH must be a good sign.

NAB3 · 26/10/2007 20:35

Can you really block specific posters???????

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 21:07

Sadly no, NAB3

AitchTwoOh · 26/10/2007 21:13

the brown will fade and your natch hair colour will grow in nicely with the aid of a few slices of high and low lights, it'll be great.

spookthief · 26/10/2007 21:15

Oh dear.

I'm thinking of going brunette (naturally red). I used a semi-permanent once before and it made my eyes look very blue so that's a plus no? Unless you don't have blue eyes of course.....

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 21:16

Awww, thanks Aitch.

My eyes are grey, but they do look POW! at the moment (after troweling on the eyeliner)

AitchTwoOh · 26/10/2007 21:17

rabbits have bright eyes, as any fule kno.

heifer · 26/10/2007 21:17

You wouldn't really want to block my posts would you Lapin?

What did your mum think - cause lets be honest DH was after a shag!.... (although I am sure that you did look very nice)...

screamsprout · 26/10/2007 21:17

Can we have a pic?

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 21:20

no pictures, no pictures!

Mum likes it. Cor things must be different in your house heifer - no chance of a shag with my mum staying here!

OP posts:
heifer · 26/10/2007 21:31

didn't realise she was staying..

No mums to worry about LL, sadly passed away, but next time DH looks at me that way I will now being thinking NO WAY my mum might be looking down at us! she can see way more from heaven you know!.

No - just thought - MIL might be watching....

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 21:35

Oh sorry heifer

TheDucHearseOfCorpseBride · 26/10/2007 21:38

Hi Lapin, after you've shaved her head, I'll pluck her eyebrows badly (it's a talent of mine).

You could be my twin now - I have a similar shade to that mahogany mixed for me but I'm dark-haired to start with so I don't suffer that Morticia-palor-effect.
