for wanting to hold down the stupid haidresser who has just turned me into a brunette instead of a redhead, and shave her head?

Grrrrrrrr...

FIVE HOURS at the hairdressers. What a waste of a day. They coloured it (from very blonde) to a copper colour, which was cool but a tad too bright, and also (and more pertinently) the colour didn't take all over. So after leaving me sitting there for 40 minutes while she worked on another client , she redid the whole lot and now I am freakin' brunette! Which is fine if you want to be a brunette, BUT I DON'T!

5 hours, 2 cups of tea and 3 measly biscuits. I need a glass of wine NOW.

don't be sorry Lapin - i knew you would be - so I tried to make my answer funny - obviously didn't work..

can you imagine though the thought of doing the deed with mum and mil looking down at you!...

I think DH is going to be very disapointed this weekend! he is working away from home all week at the moment so really looks forward to the weekends,....

TheDucHearseOfCorpseBride · 26/10/2007 21:56

Stop this 'mumswatch' talk at once.

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 21:57

heifer, I was going to make some comment about your mum being able to spot your grey hairs before you did but I didn't want to appear flippant!

Duchess - how's the puking?

OP posts:
heifer · 26/10/2007 22:10

flippant is fine lapin..

No grey hairs on this heifer head - I've been to a decent hairdressers, got what it said on the tin ..

Duchess - sorry about that - bet the next time you do, you will think about our posts.. try not to lol as you don't want to have to tell your DH about it, it will put him off his stroke ...

AitchTwoOh · 26/10/2007 22:11

what puking, duch, you okay? and where exactly does one purchase a nightdress with integrated gusset?

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 22:13

Duchess is carrying a little heir to the throne, Aitch!

AitchTwoOh · 26/10/2007 22:14

oh wonderful, congratulations. fingers well and truly crossed for a boring pregnancy.

AitchTwoOh · 26/10/2007 22:15

although she's rather integrating the gusset after the DH has bolted...

Beenleigh · 26/10/2007 22:25

I wanted to go red head (my naturalish colour) after being brunette for ages, and the divvy hairdresser put the bleach on my roots first, so I ended up with blonde roots and orange rest of hair, I looked like a firework!
The salon got someone to fix it the following day, but don;t suppose they'd be able to do that for you as it would involve bleaching again. Bet it looks lovely, just takes a bit of getting used to as it;s a big change. It will be much easier to go back to your natural colour from dark.

JoFang · 26/10/2007 22:25

don't forget a new bag

you will need the bag to go with the new shoes

it's the law

AitchTwoOh · 26/10/2007 22:35

i'm afraid Det. Insp. JoFang is correct in that statement, ma'am.

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 22:54

Any phwoar generated naughtiness has just gone out the window... DH just called me "Duracell"

I guess it IS quite red after all then!

I'm so going shopping tomorrow. I actually have a beautiful dress to wear to dinner - a sort of sage/khaki green silk (nicer colour than it sounds!), but I think I need some glammy bling gold sandals. And a pedicure

so he wasn't referrign to your ability to keep goiing all night, then?

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 26/10/2007 23:05

Maybe it was a rabbit reference!

The sickness has improved a bit, thanks for asking, though I feel 'peculiar' for much of the day. Hopefully I will NEVER have to do this again.

I have patented the reinforced gusset nightie and hope to be selling them on Mumsnet before DH/DPs get all festive. In the meantime I have a sign which reads "Fuck Off Or I Will Vomit On You". It is most effective.

AitchTwoOh · 27/10/2007 23:12

mmmmmmm, yes, i imagine it would be... congrats again.
