I hate those fund raising websites where people bed for money for medical treatment and things they want.

1/ I love hanging out with my teens.

2/ Being a single parent rocks(if you have money) and being partnered is seriously overrated.

3/ Meat is murder.

FreshFancyFrogglette · 17/01/2021 13:53

If you're not allowed to use the bathroom that you feel comfortable in, then of course it's going to affect you.

Not so, more and more we recognise that long held believe about biological sex are wrong. For example chromosome types, they don't definitively determine the genitalia between your legs, nor so does your hormones profile, you find people with penises who have less testosterone than those with a vag, and vice versa. Not the absolute dichotomy we once thought it was!

Lycanthropology · 17/01/2021 15:38

There are two gametes, @FreshFancyFrogglette , so two sexes. Variations and disorders don’t change that.

What’s ridiculous with this gender stuff is that it is making a huge special case out of humans, when we’re an animal just like any other.

If you’re being chased by a big bellowing thing with horns, penis and huge dangly bollocks, you shout “Bull!” to warn others. You don’t think maybe it’s a cow and you can’t say for sure because it can’t tell you how it feels. Hmm
Likewise bollocks and mane= male lion.

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 15:39

No. Only a selection of foolish people believe that our knowledge about sex is wrong. It is not a belief. It is a fact. Biological sex is a fact. There is still only male and female. This is determined by their biological sex. That also includes intersex people. Only people trying to obscure the truth would deny this biological reality.
These people are either

  1. stupid Or
  2. a bad actor.
LastTrainEast · 17/01/2021 15:45

FreshFancyFrogglette You said "we can all agree on that" That's what the flat earthers say when they point out that the moon was clearly put up there by NASA to mislead people.

But back in the real world we know what the moon is and we know what biological sex is.

It's ok for people to hold quaint beliefs about it as long as it doesn't interfere with the rights of people in general.

mdh2020 · 17/01/2021 15:53

It’s ok to let your baby cry and for it to sleep in it’s own room.

nobodysdaughter · 17/01/2021 16:53

I think tattoos are beautiful.

Some of these important sounding jobs on here are just bossing people about/make work/, and no WAY should you be earning more than a bin man.

I would also LOVE your dog to run up and jump up at me. I would fuss them.

A lot of screen time is necessary at the moment to stop us all going mad, but you tube is NOT suitable for kids.

There's no line on that test, you know this, and you're grasping at straws

Having children is not a human right, but a privilege.

Step kids or not, my house, my rules or go back to your bio mums.

glassacorn · 17/01/2021 17:34

@RunningFromInsanity

Blackface is only racist if it’s done in a derogatory way. There is nothing wrong with a white child dressing up as their black footballing hero at a fancy dress party. Pocahontas/red indian fancy dress is not racist.
A culture or race that is marginalised and discriminated against is not a costume.

Sending cards for occasions is not an indication of how much you like, or care about the other person; especially nowadays when there are so many other means of communication; and one should not get offended if someone doesn't send a card, or doesn't sent one of the quality that satisfies you. And I speak as someone who DOES enjoy sending and getting cards.

FreshFancyFrogglette · 17/01/2021 19:25

Opheilia how many babies do u think are born hermaphroditic?Hint its probably a lot more than you think!

FreshFancyFrogglette · 17/01/2021 19:28

Lasttraineast this isn't quaint at all. Those who believe that sex is a dichotomy are more akin to flatearthers in that their belief is not substantiated by fact! Read up on how sex is determined, it is a lot more complex, and ambiguous than 'common sense' belief would have you think. Its only because ive actually studied it that I know.

Snoozysnoozy · 17/01/2021 19:39

What do you mean by studied it? As a biologist? Psychology or some sort of gender studies?

Cautionsharpblade · 17/01/2021 19:52

Smacking is fine

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 19:53

As a biologist? Psychology or some sort of gender studies

My money's on gender studies Grin

Opheilia how many babies do u think are born hermaphroditic?Hint its probably a lot more than you think!

That's an outdated and offensive term when applied to humans. Are you not aware of that? You're using the term incorrectly and offensively. It shows your limited knowledge. Which is apparent anyway. And intersex people are still only one of the two sexes, male or female, even if it isn't immediately apparent.

Positivevibesonlyplease · 17/01/2021 19:54

I love spending time with my teen.
Vegetarians and vegans are usually nice people, who care about health and the planet.
Your children will recover from lockdown if you take responsibility to help them catch up.

FreshFancyFrogglette · 17/01/2021 20:25

As a biologist. Hermaphrodite is a perfectly legitimate term? in what way is it not? Apologies if you are offended by it, I have never heard of it being offesnive, but I will look it up. 1 in every 4,500 human babies are born with both male and female genitalia.

FreshFancyFrogglette · 17/01/2021 20:34

We are taught that the notion of two sexes in humans is far too simplistic. There are just far too many medical exceptions to the rule for it to be accepted as a fact. I admit that I wasnt aware of Hermaphrodite being an offensive term to humans, it's used freely in the papers I've read.

Baws · 17/01/2021 20:41

@FreshFancyFrogglette
It’s clear from the utter nonsense you’re spouting that you haven’t study biology!

Snoozysnoozy · 17/01/2021 20:46

So 0.02% hardly qualifies as "the norm" does it

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 20:48

It’s clear from the utter nonsense you’re spouting that you haven’t study biology!

I think it's incredibly unlikely that they are a biologist.

FreshFancyFrogglette · 17/01/2021 20:48

? I will link you to papers that I have used in my assignments. Disagree with them! I know that there is disagreement within the discipline, as there is in all disciplines. But I am far from the only person studying biology who takes this view, its gaining traction, and in fact is more commonly accepted than rejected.

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 20:50

1 in every 4,500 human babies are born with both male and female genitalia.

What intersex conditions are you referring to exactly?
