@mumnowformerrockstar

I did not breastfeed my dc. I don't deliver that it's any better than formula feeding. No regrets at all. I don't care what other people think either.
Should be believe, not deliver lol

Fed is best is the most annoying, reductive phrase ever.

Snoozysnoozy · 13/01/2021 07:18

If trans women are women then I declare myself transracial. Why not? I'll give myself a new name and act in the way a stereotypical black man acts. Presumably I can call other black men "My ni**a" and no one should be offended.

I expect some resistance from people that don't believe the twaw mantra but since they are all bigoted I have to listen to them. If you believe twaw then I look forward to your support.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 13/01/2021 07:52

I can’t relate to anyone who doesn’t like dogs.

To me they’re an alien species. (The people, I mean.).

Excellent idea. I am already a -middle aged frumpy-- woman, however I have decided to identify as a willowly, 23 year old woman with flawless skin and a magical singing voice. And, I demand that this is how the entire world must now perceive me as.
peaceanddove · 13/01/2021 12:27

And during the rugby season I shall be identifying as a male 6ft 6" prop forward so I can hang out in the changing room and perve to my heart's content

Shannon9873 · 13/01/2021 12:28

Parents shouldn’t prioritise their children over their relationship/marriage. Children are only a part of a family not the thing everything else in life revolves around

ShesMadeATwatOfMePam · 13/01/2021 15:26

You do know they don’t eat them?

No, really?!

I mean because most vegans don't believe in exploiting animals for their own purposes. So how does having a pet feature into that?

I feel the same.

I think toilet brushes are a great way to keep my toilet sparkly clean.

RoSEbuds6 · 13/01/2021 18:32

I think that further/higher education should be free, because I don't think education should all be about employability. I think we need people with a passion for classics, or restoration drama to be able to study it irrespective of their income. I also think that most 18 year olds could do with some time at college/uni to work out what they want to do, as it's a very young age to commit to a career choice for the rest of your life.
There should be more HND courses with a focus on practical skills, and more decent apprenticeships so that not everyone needs a degree to get a well paid job.
I would even be happy to pay more taxes to fund this.
Obviously I know this will never happen, and that it's an unpopular opinion but where else could I post it!

Barton10 · 13/01/2021 18:43

It’s ridiculous to not let your parents/in laws see your baby for the first few weeks because you want to be alone. They are not being entitled because they want to meet their new grandchild. Stop being so selfish. I left my 6 week old with mil for an afternoon when I went shopping for a wedding outfit and they were both fine!

pictish · 13/01/2021 19:01

Barton - I agree. I’d add a concurring statement of my own but you’ve pretty much covered it.

Barton10 · 13/01/2021 20:21

If you are divorcing you don’t need an urgent solicitors appointment these things take months and sometimes years to sort out. You don’t need to worry if you don’t have access to all the bank statements. Ten years worth of transactions can be easily be traced.

BuildsLikeASkyscraper · 13/01/2021 23:23

IDGAF about the ‘trans’ shouting either way. Transsexuals (as opposed to students with blue hair) are a tiny, tiny group of people and I think the loud voices on either side dragging the ‘trans’ issue into the cultural spotlight come mostly from people who either find transsexuals symbolically exciting or symbolically threatening.

I don’t think the question of ‘trans’ is directly comparable to civil rights fights over ‘race’ or homosexuality because if you have an overwhelming need to present yourself as and pretend you have always been the opposite sex because you can’t bear your ‘self’ that is in and of itself a cause of mental illness, not only the prejudice and lack of social acceptance. Therefore ‘trans’ is not going to be ‘settled’ and people won’t find peace by the current shouters winning or losing a political debate about ‘trans woman are women’.

Daft laws hurriedly enacted in the name of ‘trans’ acceptance are undoubtedly another obstacle on the long road of women’s centuries-old fight for equality but they are flimsy and won’t stand the test over time if there’s any actual volume of cases of identifiable penises in women’s changing rooms, massive transsexuals winning all women’s sport competitions or children being overdosed with hormones against their parents’ wishes. I think it’s the latest sensation and not many people shouting at each other over the issue will know or care about actual transsexuals and the majority will move on once they think their point is proven.

ShesMadeATwatOfMePam · 14/01/2021 08:12

I don't think people should be encouraged to go to university straight from college. I think a year or two in the real world would adjust their expectations and give them some proper life experience before jumping into a few years of further education. We need to get away from the idea that university is intrinsically more valuable than other types of education that don't involve spending tens of thousands of pounds in institutions. Even when i was at school 20 years ago, uni was seen as the only choice. There are lots of other options, especially if you don't know why you want a degree.

RoSEbuds6 · 14/01/2021 16:44

I agree with you @ShesMadeATwatOfMePam

Orlania · 14/01/2021 16:51

I agree that it would be better for people to get some life experience before going to university. It wasn't the norm for people to go to uni when I was younger, well not where I was anyway. I didn't go until I was about 23 and that life experience helped me decide what I really wanted to do and work towards it.

Baws · 16/01/2021 17:07

It doesn’t matter what you identify as, if you currently have a shlong you should be using male toilets and changing rooms and not female
Non binary is a load of bollocks
There are too many kids in school at the moment. Kids should only be in school if both parents are key workers. It’s a shit situation but it’s not idea for anyone, we all just have to get on with it.
If you stay with a partner after they’ve cheated, your marriage isn’t stronger than ever and you’re not fooling anyone.
That place where you keep your sex toys is called a drawer and not a draw.
There is a world outside the south east of England!

FreshFancyFrogglette · 16/01/2021 22:56

"non-binary is a load of bollocks". The way we've been categorising sex is a load of bollocks too. If gender is performative, and sex occurs across a spectrum, then why shouldn't someone identify as a different sex to the one previously dictated by their lower genitals. There is a lot more to biological sex than the lower genitals, we can all agree on that, then how stupid it is really, when you pick it apart, to deny someone's autonomy because of an outdated mode of categorisation. I can't think of any other way to understand it. When I've picked apart the argument on here, it seems that people oppose penises in the female bathroom, regardless of who they belong too. But when I question whether bringing dildos in constitutes the same threat, I'm told I'm being ridiculous? Obviously the threat doesn't come down to stature, as transgender women come in all shapes and sizes, and can be far more petite than the average cis woman! I think the issue on here is age and class. Crazy when you think about it. But nowhere else have i come across so much transphobia. (apart from JKs twitter page. 🤣).

@Shannon9873

^ THIS. I firmly believe putting children first in everything is what turns some of them into entitled brats.
FreshFancyFrogglette · 16/01/2021 23:04

I wouldn't even say that I'm a trans rights activist, not ordinairly. I've never had to debate this before. Just taken it as a given that I support trans rights, the same way I support the rights of the rest of the lgbt movement, and ethnic minorities, women, any other subjagated group. I don't believe that there's much evidence supporting traditional boundaries between races, sexes, orientation... Most of it is myth that has been used to generate power heirarchies, any move towards abolishing them the better.

WiseOwlRelaxing · 17/01/2021 01:07

@FreshFancyFrogglette

''how stupid it is really, when you pick it apart, to deny someone's autonomy because of an outdated mode of categorisation.''

Biological sex is not outdated!! It's still the same as it always was.

WiseOwlRelaxing · 17/01/2021 01:07

Autonomy isn't linked to what somebody else THINKS about you, unless you let it.

Baws · 17/01/2021 01:27

@FreshFancyFrogglette
No there isn’t more to biological sex. There are two, male or female. This is a fact, calling people ‘transphobic’ for pointing this out just makes you look a bit silly!
@WiseOwlRelaxing Exactly!
