All the LTB crew are probably really cowed in rl.only on mn are they emboldened

BarryWhiteIsMyBrother · 02/01/2021 23:07

@CrotchBurn

Your children shouldn't have a deciding vote in where you live, who your friends are, what house you buy.

"Mental health" isnt a get out if jail free card to consistently put your own feelings over everyone else's.

You dont have anxiety: you feel slightly on edge in social situations like 98% of us.

Its totally fine for animals to lick your face. It doesn't bother Noel Fitzpatrick.

Being a parent isn't equivalent to a full time job.

Agree!!!
SionnachRua · 02/01/2021 23:07

There are always those that can't help themselves. You're supposed to say what's unpopular on Mumsnet hmm

Oh they just can't resist I think, you're wasting your breath there. But always good to see posts from those who don't agree with the MN mindset on trans people.

DishingOutDone · 02/01/2021 23:08

I've reported the people liking bread sauce.

Quaagars · 02/01/2021 23:08

@12frogsincoats I'm going for the latter seeing as one's admitted as much
Don't rise, as you say out for a fight I think, not worth it

Tangledtresses · 02/01/2021 23:08

I left my 2 year old down stairs whilst I had a shower

He is 7 and alive no accidents

I'm a single mother and think this is the holy grail of a peaceful life

I have a loo brush 🤣

GnomeDePlume · 02/01/2021 23:09

The government are doing their best and probably no worse than any other government would have done given the same circumstances.

I think it is significant that previous prime ministers are pretty much keeping their opinions to themselves and quite likely thinking thank God this didnt happen on my watch,

ilovesooty · 02/01/2021 23:11

I'm surprised this thread is still here.

BritWifeinUSA · 02/01/2021 23:11

I like the healthcare system here in the US and wouldn’t go back to the NHS, if given the choice.

I’ve never “bulked anything up with lentils”, taken in ironing for extra money, or booked a spa day after an argument with my husband.

Americans are not all stupid, not all have guns, not all support the death penalty.

There are other professions that work as hard as, or even harder, than teachers. I’m not saying teachers don’t work hard, just that they are not the only people who do too.

VetiverAndLavender · 02/01/2021 23:12

Anonymous notes aren't that bad.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 02/01/2021 23:12

If you said to someone in RL did you mean to be so rude? they reply yea?and..so what
They’d not immediately be poleaxed by that as a withering put down

EwwwwDavid · 02/01/2021 23:13

I really like my MIL!

Unalome · 02/01/2021 23:14

It’s perfectly acceptable to become overwhelmed with emotion and scream at the Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel.

snappyoldfartypants · 02/01/2021 23:14

That only women have periods and sanitary products are made for women.

WhatTiggersDoBest · 02/01/2021 23:14

This thread is a hoot.

I don't think DMs or MILs have a right to see your baby on their terms. They want a new toy to play with? They can grow it and push it out themselves.

I don't like Meghan Markle she's a drama queen.

I don't know or care what "cooking" is in the oddly-specific Mumsnet sense of the word (you made guacamole? Wow! Oh, apparently that's not cooking though).

Oooohbehave · 02/01/2021 23:14

You can occasionally have a massive row with your husband and say horrible things to each other without it being a toxic LTB situation.
Some kids are just little shits, no medical diagnosis necessary.

Not even with a tinkly laugh or a headtilt? Shock

I love the classic MN putdowns tbh, they're so pathetic. Would love to see someone try one out in real life.

bitheby · 02/01/2021 23:15

That there's really no need for a style and beauty section.

Quaagars · 02/01/2021 23:15

I think you'll find that is a popular opinion on MN snappy, unless you're another one trying to poo stir?! Grin

JohnMiddleNameRedactedSwanson · 02/01/2021 23:16

Having faith does not mean that a person is stupid or, the old MN favourite, ‘lacking critical thinking’.

DH cycles and plays video games and is neither a selfish tosser nor a manchild.

noirchatsdeux · 02/01/2021 23:16

@HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee Someone actually said that to me once...I replied 'of course I fucking did, wouldn't have said it otherwise'

YippieKayakOtherBuckets · 02/01/2021 23:17

I love my MIL to bits.

giao · 02/01/2021 23:17

Taking your kids to gawp at imprisoned animals is horrible.

Aubaine · 02/01/2021 23:18

Despite what it may seem like on the Higher Education board, being excellent at maths, having Further maths A level and doing a degree with a high maths content does not automatically make you brighter and better than a humanities student. There are other indicators of brilliance besides maths. Shocker.

Am I not supposed to leave my two year old to shower!? 😂 Isn’t that literally what CBeebies was invented for? Newborn put somewhere safe for a sleep, toddler handed an iPad with Octonauts, mummy goes to have a shower. God sometimes if I’m feeling fancy I even put my makeup on and have a coffee on my own!
