I don’t think nurseries are brilliant for babies . I don’t think it helps their development .

Maisiecow · 02/01/2021 23:18

@DishingOutDone

I've reported the people liking bread sauce.
Yep. Bloody vile, offensive stuff!
WhatTiggersDoBest · 02/01/2021 23:18

@BritWifeinUSA I like the healthcare system here in the US and wouldn’t go back to the NHS, if given the choice.
Something we can agree on! I loved my time in the US and though I'm not there anymore, I would never go back to the non-healthcare in England if I can avoid it.

Thewiseoneincognito · 02/01/2021 23:19

Asda and Aldi are for poor people

People who use ‘hun’ are either selling a wax melt or fake perfume

Namechangeme87 · 02/01/2021 23:19

@HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee I always laugh at that too I seriously can’t imagine saying it in real life . I imagine the person knows full well they were being rude

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 02/01/2021 23:19

Most women can breastfeed. They just choose not to. (Which is their choice.)

ClaireP20 · 02/01/2021 23:20

I think Boris is doing very well under the circumstances.

I think people who buy dogs from breeders are awful.

I think women who wear thongs on the beach are self obsessed and a bit gross.

Sorry.

Mulhollandmagoo · 02/01/2021 23:20

It's perfectly fine to feed your children fish fingers!!

3cats1baby1manchild · 02/01/2021 23:21

I love my MIL to bits and she’s welcome in my home whenever she wants to pop round.

cigsoffofthefloor · 02/01/2021 23:22

gender is a societal construct and the world would be better if we collectively agreed that gender norms weren't a thing anymore, we were just people, who happened to have different parts.

acab; all cops are bastards. this isn't to say that every single individual person who works for the police force is a horrible person, however that it is a corrupt system and the people who work for it, are contributing, even indirectly to this.

society would be far nicer if we just let people do what they want without it being somehow offensive to someone; eg, drag queens

most people on mumsnet blow everything out of proportion and likely don't act like that in real life, and if they do, probably piss off everyone around them.

people on here can shout 'trans women are men' and mnhq will turn a blind eye, but as soon as you start talking about trans rights, mnhq will delete your post and ban you.

teenagers are just people and should be treated as such, they shouldn't be an extension of you. if they want to do their eyeliner or dye their hair a certain way, let them do it. ultimately it doesn't hurt anyone and i'd like to see a valid argument to this.

if drugs weren't treated as such a big deal, they wouldn't turn to addictions so easily. if people did them and weren't pushed away from their family/friends, they wouldn't fall so far so easily as they'd keep their support system. drug addictions stem from loneliness.

privacy is a right not a privilege.

Enb76 · 02/01/2021 23:22

People should be responsible for themselves and not expect the government to spoon feed them.

We know that breeding matters in animals in terms of temperament, size, intelligence etc... and yet somehow seem to believe it doesn’t apply to us. Be fucking careful about who you decide to breed with.

TidyDancer · 02/01/2021 23:22

The dislike of Meghan Markle is (in most cases) absolutely nothing to do with the colour of her skin and is really because she's just not very likeable.

Natsel84 · 02/01/2021 23:23

@Twelveisthebestnumber

Step mums can be awesome 😁.
This .... 🤷‍♀️
HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 02/01/2021 23:24

@noirchatsdeux yes I did mean to be so rude is of course the obvious answer

Icenii · 02/01/2021 23:24

People should be lining up to thank stepparents for their hard work and sacrifice in looking after your children.

trynnagetsomepeace · 02/01/2021 23:25

Dogs are overrated

Stepmoms don't need to love your child or treat them equally, they are not unpaid childcare and they don't need to follow your rules. As long as they aren't abusing the child, there is no responsibility on them to parent them. You don't have to like them.

Drag is womanface

The over 80's should not have been prioritised over teachers or doctors/nurses on COVID vaccinations.

NAMALT is a lie. All men benefit from the patriarchy, and you've no idea what your lovely husband/father/son do and think when they are not being watched.

100 million yes! Rarely see stuff so correct on mumsnet.
Nellle · 02/01/2021 23:25

Transwomen are women 👍

Lindor · 02/01/2021 23:25

Make up is an unnecessary commercialised product

No one needs more than one (hand) bag

WhatTiggersDoBest · 02/01/2021 23:25

Seriously though I think a lot of my opinions are unpopular on Mumsnet. It's a wonderful place so far removed from the echo chamber of social media where you can't say a word to anyone in case you offend them and twelve of your mutuals.

EwwwwDavid · 02/01/2021 23:25

@Thewiseoneincognito but I only have an Asda or an Aldi near me! And a Morrison's. does that make me poor?! 🤷🏼‍♀️😭😂

Cakequeen1988 · 02/01/2021 23:26

I joyfully work for Tropic Skincare. Mumsnet would have everyone believe this MLM is the spawn of the devil.

Actually I love my job, and am treated really well!

giao · 02/01/2021 23:26

Saying NO to people doesn't work. They just say WHY NOT?

Baycob · 02/01/2021 23:27

People should not have children if they can’t afford them without being topped up by the government with tax credits etc

EwwwwDavid · 02/01/2021 23:27

I also let my DD (the aforementioned 10 yr old with the bows and frilly socks) wear make up and do her eyebrows aged 12. She also has two piercings in each ear Blush
