I would say

Pineapple on pizza is decent

Style advice/advice regarding babies is almost always awful on here. Some extremely dangerous advice about sleep in particular.

I couldn't care less how often someone has a shower or how often they change their bedsheets as long as they don't smell. Not everyone has to have a shower every day, but I've been told I MUST SMELLLL if I don't.

I follow the rules re coronavirus but, a year in, can't really get upset if others don't. People aren't going to suddenly start complying now, so chill and stop rage typing because someone invited friends over or stood too close to you in Morrissons.

Batch cooking is shit and a waste of time

Dogs do not need someone around 24/7. Some of the dog advice on here is mental. (I say that as someone who is at home with their dog 24/7)

Of course I have a toilet brush, how the hell else do you clean a toilet?

People who disagree with threads because they're mean or whatever should just click on something else. Sometimes people are mean, there are mean people in the world, there are mean opinions in even the nicest of people so just go and look at something you enjoy.

AnxiousSM · 03/01/2021 13:18

I am diagnosed with chronic anxiety. It is a real thing, not an excuse. I’ve had it all my life, not just since I joined MN, my husband and step children trigger it and I wish I could escape which is not as easy as some on MN think it is.

SOLINVICTUS · 03/01/2021 13:18

@HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee

English people are class obsessed, to the point of dysfunction What spoon?use any fucking spoon What school?who cares
I think the class thing is just MN tbf. Nobody I have ever met in real life has ever mentioned class. Ever.
4amWitchingHour · 03/01/2021 13:20

@Spied

Tony's chocolate isn't all that.
Yep, totally agree. I also like Dairy Milk 😬
SchrodingersImmigrant · 03/01/2021 13:21

I think the class thing is just MN tbf.

Surprisingly, it's not. I knoe few people who keep doing the "I am working class so I..." and "That middle class tory ....". It's fascinating. Class is such a big part of who they are.

Mulhollandmagoo · 03/01/2021 13:22

@MakeMineALarge1

People who walk slow in supermarkets should be shot.
YES!!!! Along with people who stop to have a conversation in the middle of the aisles
FunkBus · 03/01/2021 13:22

I hear class mentioned although the time, whether directly or indirectly.

It's far more often coded as 'chavvy' or 'posh' than wc/mc, though.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/01/2021 13:24

Nobody I have ever met in real life has ever mentioned class No that’d be classless and vulgar.apparently
Class isn’t directly raised. Class is maintained indirectly and in seemingly innocuous conversations

MacDuffsMuff · 03/01/2021 13:27

I think the class thing is just MN tbf.

I wish this were true, it's not so in my experience.

Aspiringmatriarch · 03/01/2021 13:27

@WomenAndVulvas

The feminist posters on here are a whining, intolerant, aggressive bunch with a massive chip on their shoulder and who believe all women should have exactly the same opinions as them, or you can't possibly be on the side of women.
Totally agree.

Also, men and women are different (on average) in some ways and this is not purely down to social conditioning, subconscious or otherwise. Imo this is not reducing people to stereotypes, or incompatible with feminism.

riotlady · 03/01/2021 13:29

Not everyone instantly smells the second they hit 24 hours without a shower.

Washing your bedding/towels every fortnight is perfectly fine.

Your toilet doesn’t need bleached daily.

@Icenii

Every garden should be made to have a tree in it.
Mine has one, it blocks the light out from my living room. It's too big for the small garden and so it's coming down next month. Me and my neighbour (it overhangs onto to their garden as well), are delighted as it means we will now be able to enjoy a whole day's worth of light instead of having to put indoor lights on at 2 pm.
riotlady · 03/01/2021 13:30

Trans women aren’t plotting anything, they generally just want to use the loo in peace. You have probably peed next to many of them without incident.

funinthesun19 · 03/01/2021 13:32

My daughter won’t be damaged by playing with toys that are pink or by wearing anything pink. She also won’t be damaged if she’s in to princesses and dolls or pretends to cook in her play kitchen.

She’s currently playing with a Minnie Mouse hoover. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Before that she was playing with Spider-Man which is obviously totally cool. But the Minnie Mouse hoover is pink and apparently stereotyping so only boys should be able to play with pink hoovers Grin

maybemu · 03/01/2021 13:35

Women need to think a bit harder about who they have children with. Men bashing is the norm on here but if women picked better husbands they wouldn't have all the problems they have.

Mommabear20 · 03/01/2021 13:40

@JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows force? No. But they should certainly have a say in the murder of their child. I've been through 1 full pregnancy and birth and am pregnant again and it's not something I enjoy, but I still think men should have a say in the lives of their children. Nature dictates that women carry and birth the child, why is that the mans fault?

funinthesun19 · 03/01/2021 13:40

Oh, and she won’t be damaged if she wears clothes aimed at GIRLS.

And my sons don’t want to wear girls clothing because they are BOYS.

CarolEffingBaskin · 03/01/2021 13:40

I think the idea that we are shutting down schools so we can vaccinated 100 year olds instead of teachers and school staff as a priority is fucking insanity. But there we go. 100 year olds not dying is obviously more important than education.

NuniaBeeswax · 03/01/2021 13:40

A quick thread search would tell you that most of these so called "unpopular opinions" aren't unpopular at all on here and this thread is just an excuse to spew bile.

Janaih · 03/01/2021 13:44

Keeping pets is cruel and selfish. We are subjecting animals to human lifestyle diseases and invasive expensive treatment for them. Not to mention our over reliance on them making us emotionally incontinent.

Russellbrandshair · 03/01/2021 13:46

It’s not the woman’s fault either.

So what if they say no- absolutely not. What then?

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/01/2021 13:46

Those being snidey about feminists. They do the role modelling,the challenging that some others can’t be arsed to do. Y’all Happy to take the benefits though eg flexible working requests,equalities provision, and having woman speaking up.

FoxyTheFox · 03/01/2021 13:46

Abortion isn't murder. It is also entirely the decision of the person whose uterus it is.

thebellsofsaintclements · 03/01/2021 13:47

Children should go to bed at whatever time suits their body clock (with the usual caveats of making sure they're not too tired at school etc) and not be shipped off to bed at 7pm like good little Stepford MN children. My primary child sleeps 10pm - 8am and has plenty of energy.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 03/01/2021 13:49

@EmilySpinach

Camping is not a holiday.
Camping is holidaying in conditions that you wouldn't tolerate at home.
