Outside walks and people

No hate please but I’m hoping I’m not the only one.

So me and my mum have been going for walks with the dog and it’s making me so angry what people are doing. Walking so close to us and not keeping distance. We’re both in the vulnerable category and I’ve said so many times to people to move away.

I completely get you don’t have to wear a mask but don’t walk next to or behind people you don’t know. The park we choose today had a massive path and people still did it. I ended up shouting at this woman for standing next to my mum and coughing.

Rant over. I’m hoping I’m not crazy

@Justa47

The OP was breaching the rules by shouting at people!

@MrsMomoa

Didn’t say she wasn’t did I. I was just saying what happened. To me no rule breaking is ok. And people need to be thinking.

You do you . I do hope it is made mandatory though as people are selfish idiots

You do you? I absolutely follow the rules. You are deluded expecting people to go beyond the rules just because you think so and otherwise they are selfish idiots. I mean, I can understand you being annoyed that people don't keep the distance (not your shouting though, as that spreads germs and viruses even further away, 2 meets is probably not enough to protect you from somebody shouting) I kind of can see your point with keeping the distance. But calling people who exercise without a mask selfish idiots is a bit too much, because they are not breaking any rule and it is outdoors where the risk is minimal.

What have we come to that even people following the rules are called selfish idiots because you think more restrictions would suit you better?

Sure, parks are quite busy, it is not ideal, but it is also understandable because there is nothing else to do! Some people live in flats, some people have kids...I have heard too many times already from people how disgusting it is how many people there is at the park but they don't seem to realise they are also there and part of the problem!

I think if you are so so worried of something like that outdoors, you should go somewhere else a bit more quiet or at a different time.

Totally agree, also people whinging about well they didn't exercise here before and I did!

WTF, I work in central London (now WFH), I'd get off the tube a stop early to walk further, I'd get out lunch time for a good walk. I'd walk up some of the 18 flights of stairs (not all of them).

Now I get my exercise locally and just because you've always taken your exercise locally does not mean that you own the bloody open space.

I'll exercise, I'll keep my distance, but you're not bloody well pushing me out of the park because you think you own it .... because you've used it before.

One PP was moaning about the woods "next to her elderly parents property, was over crowded with new people" nothing to say they weren't local. But they shouldn't be there, get a grip life's changed and I'm not being locked up because it makes a place busy!

Maybe all the people that have always used it should give others a chance?

@Chottie

Good for you. It’s easy to make space for all and be polite and follow the rules.

We need more like you not the selfish abs thoughtless.
