Neighbours having a gathering for 20 people tonight!

fluffy71 · 31/12/2020 19:48

We live on a private drive tucked away with 5 houses. Our neighbours (very sociable, always breaking Covid rules) invited us neighbours out earlier for a socially distanced drink round a fire pit on his drive, spilling over to ours. Didn’t fancy it tbh. Glad I didn’t cause he’s obviously invited loads of his friends too! So fed up of this now! Selfish people making it worse for everyone else! I wouldn’t mind but he’s always moaning about covidiots on Facebook.

Who cares. They're probably testing their eyesight.

User158340 · 31/12/2020 20:53

@Yoshinori

Good for them ! We’re having a party of around 20 people as well and I dare anyone to challenge. We know we don’t have covid.
Thick as mince.

Publish exactly where you are and see how many people challenge you. Go on, just the rough location, dare the police to “challenge you”. Or is it big brave bullshit behind a keyboard?

You are disgusting.

Good I hope they have a fabulous time. I'm sure they are willing to do their best against a virus with a 99.98% survival rate.

Are you stupid or just detached from reality?

Thick as a brick, clearly.

Mamascoven · 31/12/2020 20:54

Don't report. Just ignore.

littlepattilou · 31/12/2020 20:54

@fluffy71

People with 4-6 people around I would turn a blind eye to.

But 20? I would have reported them already. Selfish bastards like this are the reason why the UK is in the state it's in, and covid is so rife still.

Thatwentbadly · 31/12/2020 20:55

I would report it. Those people who are saying they would join in should read this news article

MyrtlesMoans · 31/12/2020 20:56

Report.

Emeraldeyes20 · 31/12/2020 20:56

@GypsyLee are you really this dull ? 😬

Tearsfortiers · 31/12/2020 20:57

Report them - selfish, inconsiderate bastards.

wildthingsinthenight · 31/12/2020 20:58

Yoshinori
Your selfishness and stupidity is astounding

sorryforswearing · 31/12/2020 20:59

gamerchick

Personally I've lost interest in other people. People are knobs. They deserve everything they get.

If only it was just them that suffered. Loads of them will probably have kids so school will be an even bigger risk for staff next week. Selfish.

justgeton · 31/12/2020 20:59

And people blame the government 😂😂😂

What an insult to the many thousands of people who are dying of this virus. The NHS is at breaking point.
princessandthedragon · 31/12/2020 21:01

Yes report it.

LadyLindaT · 31/12/2020 21:01

Utter, utter morons. I wish Long Covid upon them. It's vile and life-ruining.

Really? Have you all tested negative and then isolated for 10 days after the results? Seen absolutely nobody over Christmas?

I "dare" to challenge, what are you going to do?

disconnecteddrifter · 31/12/2020 21:02

It's not about if you and fucjing yours will survive it 99.8% survival rate bullshit it's about the effect on fucking everyone. Kids not able to do clubs, restrictions of people's fucking businesses and more. Fuck the stasi this is affecting small business owners you may as well say let them eat cake privileged fucking twats

NiceGerbil · 31/12/2020 21:02

OP has vanished. Change of heart and at party?

How do you know when so many don't show symptoms? Unless you are just showing your amazing sense of humour.
disconnecteddrifter · 31/12/2020 21:03

Report it for the good of everyone not just the priviledge of a privileged few having a fucking party. I'm fucked off.

Yoshinori · 31/12/2020 21:04

There is nothing selfish about it.

So many of us have sacrificed so much this year and having one night where it can all feel normal isn’t bad.

I follow covid rules 90% of the time, wear a face mask, social distance, the lot.

I don’t judge anyone wanting to enjoy tonight at all.

Not at all.

Hopefully 2021 can be a better and more normal year for us all Smile

GypsyLee · 31/12/2020 21:04
@GypsyLee are you really this dull ? 😬
Not usually, no.
However we said goodbye to a family member yesterday. Waited a month to be able to hold a funeral.
Family member attempted suicide this year, lost our work, and so much more.

I understand others want to celebrate though, that's why I said good for them. I certainly wouldn't report or stop others fun.

Staffy1 · 31/12/2020 21:05
@Anotherpointofview1 80k deaths. 2 millions cases (rounded for ease) 80k is not 0.03% of 2 million. Its just shy of 4%. That means - as an example, of every resident of Manchester gets covid 25,000 will die. Why is that acceptable to you?
Exactly. I don't know where 99.98% came from. People keep saying this but the statistics show that it's not correct.

Roussette · 31/12/2020 21:05

Selfish selfish selfish

I've just had a covid test, negative, and an antibody test negative, I still wouldn't dream of doing this.

Why don't you try to think of other people? And google asymptomatic.
