Neighbours having a gathering for 20 people tonight!

We live on a private drive tucked away with 5 houses. Our neighbours (very sociable, always breaking Covid rules) invited us neighbours out earlier for a socially distanced drink round a fire pit on his drive, spilling over to ours. Didn’t fancy it tbh. Glad I didn’t cause he’s obviously invited loads of his friends too! So fed up of this now! Selfish people making it worse for everyone else! I wouldn’t mind but he’s always moaning about covidiots on Facebook.

If only we lived somewhere like NZ where people actually did what they were fucking told so this shit is over already.

I so wish Bozo gets the police to start cracking skulls and issuing criminal records.

I fucking hate at least half of the people in this country now.

Selfish fucking twats.

ktp100 · 31/12/2020 20:25

Oh, and yes, CALL THE POLICE!!!

And I do hope anyone who disagrees with you doing that isn't two faced enough to have clapped the bloody NHS because they clearly actually do not give 2 fucks about it or it's staff!

wildthingsinthenight · 31/12/2020 20:26

Whoever mentioned the survival rate missed the point. It's the pressure on the NHS that makes it serious not the percentage of people who will survive.

nicky7654 · 31/12/2020 20:26

Good for them, hope they are having a fab time!! Wish I was there too !

justgeton · 31/12/2020 20:27

I think I'd have to move. I couldn't live near such selfish arrogant arseholes

Pat19 · 31/12/2020 20:27

Hope they have a good time indeed!

nauticant · 31/12/2020 20:27

@Anotherpointofview1

Good I hope they have a fabulous time. I'm sure they are willing to do their best against a virus with a 99.98% survival rate.
The actual fatality rate is about 1%:

www.imperial.ac.uk/news/207273/covid-19-deaths-infection-fatality-ratio-about/

That's 50 times higher than the 0.02% you quoted. I despair at studied ignorance like your post.

Tiddlywinkly · 31/12/2020 20:27

Just call 101. I'm bloody fed up of feeling like a chump passing neighbours ignoring the rules.

Have you watched the news lately? People might survive covid (or a car accident or a stroke) if they can get a hospital bed. People are at this point just being cunts if they have large gatherings despite all warnings. (I'm not talking about minor rule breaking, but big gatherings)
sausageathlete · 31/12/2020 20:29

Report the selfish fucking cunts.

Christmasfairy2020 · 31/12/2020 20:30

I wouldnt report them and I wouldnt go around either. I personally wouldn't be a karen about it. I took my kids earlier to give my mums dog one last huggle before vet put him to sleep. They was both so sad and crying and needed to see the dog. So I broke the laws earlier.

Emeraldeyes20 · 31/12/2020 20:32

To the posters saying hope they have a good time, I wonder if you would have the same attitude if you or one of your family needed hospital treatment. The country is in this mess because of this ridiculous, selfish attitude. Why not volunteer on a covid ward for a few days then come back and give us your opinions! You’re a disgrace and an insult to the NHS staff who have lost their lives treating patients with covid .

Totallylostnow · 31/12/2020 20:32

I’m sick of the shit people just keep spouting about survival rates- what about all the other things people can’t get the medical help for as medics are too busy with covid.
If the neighbours child needs medical help for any reason they will be the ones shouting the loudest all over Facebook about their kid being kept waiting..... cos of THEIR actions selfish pricks.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 31/12/2020 20:33

Urghh unfortunately people are idoits and if he has always broken the rules then guess nothing will change that even after yesterday's announcement of high cases m that.

FlyingByTheSeatof · 31/12/2020 20:33

Quite a few people on my street at least 30 so far are congregating outside one house with really bad uncool music and singing etc. I cant be bothered because it's cold and I cant chat to people with masks on etc, my hearing is rubbish, and music going on so just watching from my window. Everyone's very merry. Yes it's a bit stupid really but those that want and need to join in are.
I think streets for miles around will be able to hear and report them so I'll let it take its natural course of conclusion.

Annoyingly though last week my immediate neighbour had around 20 people standing outside his house for a while inches apart from each other which annoyed me as I had my family in and out of my own house having to walk past these strangers less than 2 metres away and letting all their germs come in through my door every time it opened for my family members whom I live with. I didnt say anything though.

BaublesToIt · 31/12/2020 20:34

If they were indoors, I’d probably inform the police to break it up, but outside in the open air on a driveway? The risks are minuscule. More risky to go to a supermarket when mask wearing is not enforced.

Back away from your nets and leave them be.

Are you stupid or just detached from reality? #happyforyouhun #suchashelteredlife

I don’t give a stuff what the real death rate is..I don’t want anyone to die a horrible death.

Lampzade · 31/12/2020 20:39

I would be tempted to report them, but would be concerned the neighbours would know that Op reported them

Whatisthepoint10 · 31/12/2020 20:39

Report.

Going to the vet is different from a idiotic party by selfish fuckwits.
FlyingByTheSeatof · 31/12/2020 20:40

I'm being a bit over dramatic as I was invited to my neighbours outside pre christmas gathering with their friends and other neighbours and tonights neighbour street event. I just chose not to join in for obvious covid reasons. I don't want to sound like a bah humbug.

User158340 · 31/12/2020 20:40

Why haven't you phoned the police?
