Neighbours having a gathering for 20 people tonight!

We live on a private drive tucked away with 5 houses. Our neighbours (very sociable, always breaking Covid rules) invited us neighbours out earlier for a socially distanced drink round a fire pit on his drive, spilling over to ours. Didn’t fancy it tbh. Glad I didn’t cause he’s obviously invited loads of his friends too! So fed up of this now! Selfish people making it worse for everyone else! I wouldn’t mind but he’s always moaning about covidiots on Facebook.

Do people just have no idea about the ongoing impacts of this disease? Or how easy it is to be asymptomatic and carry on spreading it? I do dispair and feel it is extremely sheltered and ignorant behaviour from people who have so far haven't suffered. But happy to pointlessly bang a couple of saucepans together to show support.

If they are outside and distancing surely by reporting them you are encouraging people to sneak into each others' houses...

Can you honestly honestly tell people to go off to a party with 30 people and have a good time after watching today an ICU health worker near to tears and exhausted today pleading with the public to please please not do this?

God I just thought we had the same problem here as I can hear strange voices downstairs, so was wearily getting up to go down and investigate but luckily it's next door.

Yeah all other neighbours were going. So only us not attending. My dads 87 and not had the jab yet so don’t want to risk it. Think I’ll just ignore it. They’ll suspect it’s me if they get nabbed. Bloody annoying though. He’s sneaky getting everyone out on the communal drive rather than his garden as can claim he’s not the party holder I imagine.
You have a responsibility to report them. 1000 dead today.

Sorry, did I miss the part of the new regulations where it said outside parties with 20 people from different households was ok?

Well fuck me, I’m off to round up my neighbours and get shit faced on the tarmac.

If the police attend they won’t be sneaking anywhere will they? Not that it would be the OPs fault for “encouraging” that even if they did.

Bloody report them, the more selfish idiots like this keep gathering, the more the virus spreads and the longer people's life and livelihood is disrupted while the country's economy goes even further down the pan. Do they want this to go on for another year? More businesses destroyed? More people to lose loved ones or suffer long covid? More kids to have their education screwed? Absolute twats.

We’re having a party of around 20 people as well and I dare anyone to challenge. We know we don’t have covid.
