Neighbours having a gathering for 20 people tonight!

We live on a private drive tucked away with 5 houses. Our neighbours (very sociable, always breaking Covid rules) invited us neighbours out earlier for a socially distanced drink round a fire pit on his drive, spilling over to ours. Didn’t fancy it tbh. Glad I didn’t cause he’s obviously invited loads of his friends too! So fed up of this now! Selfish people making it worse for everyone else! I wouldn’t mind but he’s always moaning about covidiots on Facebook.

Yeah all other neighbours were going. So only us not attending. My dads 87 and not had the jab yet so don’t want to risk it. Think I’ll just ignore it. They’ll suspect it’s me if they get nabbed. Bloody annoying though. He’s sneaky getting everyone out on the communal drive rather than his garden as can claim he’s not the party holder I imagine.

I believe the correct resolution to this is to whine about it on Mumsnet, then while about it on your local Facebook groups under the cover of anonymity and then stand there tutting at the window huffing and puffing and twitching the curtains.

It's been well proven that that is the ultimate way to produce a change in human behaviour and make the world a lovely sunshiney place to live in.

Help the party go with a swing - invite the police round for them, just in case they weren't on the guest list.

These people are breaking the NHS, they want to listen to some of the critical care consultants, almost in tears, unable to cope.
People blame the government, but it’s selfish people like this with blood on their hands. The rules are there, bloody follow them.

Report them, that us how the virus spreads and why it gets worse because people are both selfish and ignorant. People not reporting are nit doing their civic duty.

Fucking report them. That is go the first time I’ve said that and maybe would have turned a blind eye before but nearly 1000 dead today and the highest confirmed cases on record.

No I don’t like it, yes I understand the survival rate but I’m fucking sick of living like a caged animal while others think the rules don’t apply and they can do what the hell they want.

Report them. My hospital has 300 covid patients, staff being recalled from leave to cover shifts. Those shifts are 12hrs long, with no breaks for food. I’m sick of these selfish bastards.

Absolutely selfish! The hospitals are struggling and the NHS staff putting their own lives at risk because of self entitled idiots like this!! I definitely report then as I wouldn’t these imbeciles as friends anyway!

I wouldn’t say report them but it really pisses me off. We went to a close family members funeral on Xmas eve and had to travel separately hundreds of miles to attend. There were limits on numbers due to the size of the crematorium. Whilst there we weren’t able to hug and comfort each other and had to space out throughout the service. One of our darkest times and we had to deal with restrictions, yet people can’t put aside their ‘need’ for NYE celebrations

My neighbour 2 floors up who I already dislike for constantly playing loud music and refusing to turn it down is having a party, ridiculously loud music, people keep coming in and out the front door, cigarettes being chucked into our garden out their window.

I’d definitely report them. They are clearly not intelligent enough to realise that they are putting themselves and others at huge risk. So selfish.

The estate up from up did this on xmas eve. Socially distanced driveway party. Most of neighbours went out for it and obviously they disnt actually stick to their own driveways or stay socially distanced. Someone tested positive a couple days later (and had been ill at the party) and now the whole lot of them are having to isolate. These people will get what's coming hopefully but you really should call it in.

Call the police! I would normally say just ignore them, but I’m an exhausted nurse and have zero tolerance anymore.
