Name changed for this. But I'm disgusted, I cleaned it up and sterilised the whole room. He has been feeling poorly today but this is utterly disgusting. I always wondered who did this sort of thing, now I know! AIBU to never even kiss him again.

Lighten up, OP, someone has to eat the leftover Yule log

If this has made you this cross then presumably it’s very out of character which suggests he’s quite poorly. If this was my husband I’d clean it up (which would take all of 2 minutes, really). That’s if this is real, which I utterly doubt

LoveMyKidsAndCats · 29/12/2020 01:36

Why would you clean adult shit from a grown man. I remember being on my hands and knees cleaning blood off the toilet floor after going to the toilet for the first time after just having a traumatic birth, as i was mortified I'd dripped blood on the floor. Don't care how ill he felt that's bloody disgusting and theres no reason he shouldn't have cleaned his own shit up. Can't believe you'd do that. Ugh.

OP is on a (toilet) roll with this one.

I never know what to make of these threads. I usually assume it's a wind up, but then again, when you start reading the responses there seem to be an alarming number of women who will literally wipe up another adult's shit. Unless the other adult in question has some sort of special needs, I really can't imagine how you would get to that point. Hm.

WombOfOnesOwn · 29/12/2020 03:53

If someone says they took half an hour to sterilize a room when some poo ended up in an unexpected place, I wonder how they ever raised children.

Your like this bloke on my Facebook who posts to tell people his wife has just farted. You're the Mumsnet equivalent.

Not sure how seriously to take this thread, but seriously all you people saying an ill adult should clean up after themselves? I had a stomach upset and didn't make it to the bathroom, my DP (who used to complain about the smell of our Dad's nappies and does not have a strong stomach) cleaned it up with no issues and pointed out that it's quite possible one of us might need to wipe the other's bum when we get older anyway. It'd be different if it was deliberate or down to a hangover or something (though I wouldn't want it hanging around so would probably clean up it if they were incapable) but if someone is so ill they can't manage to get it in the toilet, they're probably too ill to clean it up.

@QueenofDestruction

I am so confused why not just use another bathroom until the staff had cleaned the dirty one..
Robbie Williams has 27 toilets in one of his houses.

I do not.
