I’ve come to bed for a nap

We've had lunch, roast beef, Yorkshires, the best roast potatoes I've ever cooked and are now relaxing in pjs and doing whatever we like. I'm pretty pleased with the roast as we only have one working job ring and a small microwave convection combi oven. The rest of the day is a free for all as far as food goes as I won't be cooking tonight.

Listening to Christmas songs and Mumsnetting. Young adult Dc both upstairs chilling. I'm waiting for the meat to finish cooking before starting on all the veg, etc. Very relaxed and enjoying the lack of pressure as it's just us this year.

I had the dinner early so now I'm relaxing with a glass of wine with DD beside me. Pretty Shitty Gang Bang (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) has just started on RTE2.

Had prawn cocktail starter for lunch, drinking moet with dh watching Unhinged whilst the teens are gaming upstairs. Nibbling on jalpeno cheese and prepping christmas dinner.

Sitting reading new books and drinking prosecco, DD playing Christmas songs on piano wearing new dressing gown she got as present that she loves. DS and DH doing tech-y stuff upstairs setting up DS present. Feeling very relaxed. Missing mum but zoomed earlier and will speak again later. Everyone voted for pasta and garlic bread for xmas dinner so having that later, no prep needed. Happy Christmas everyone!

Currently under a blanket on the sofa whilst DS is snuggled next to me playing his new minecraft game on his switch on the telly. We’ve already been on a big long walk and to the park today, so I’m having 5 minutes peace. DH is in the kitchen cooking roast beef, I’ve FaceTimed everyone that we need to speak to and am hoping for a peaceful rest of day after our 4.30am start

Flaked out on the settee,thinking about a snooze for an hour.

Just had a game of chess with DS1 (18) with a pot of tea and mince pie. Younger DC are busy on their new Xbox, DH is starting the dinner.

Presents done, Christmas lunch done. Kitchen cleaned. One teen snoozing. One listening to music. One downstairs looking at her presents and youngest scoffing sweets. I'm snuggled In a new blanket thinking about snoozing.

Sitting beside my baby while he naps and drinking a mimosa. DH is keeping an eye over the boiling veg. Life is good!

Watching only fools on tv under a blanket. We had an early Christmas lunch so it's already done and pots cleaned. I'm feeling quite liberated!

We're now on Kung Fu Panda 3 and have opened the chocolates!

Watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with DD20. We played Drunk Stoned and Stupid before lunch with champagne and then stuffed our faces. Snoozy relax time before family zoom call at 5pm.

Recovering after a roast dinner and before the games and zoom calls begin...

Smoked salmon for breakfast, Zoom with the family, a lovely walk, coffee and Christmas cake, then telly.

Dinner will be later, but most of the prep is done.

I'm reading your post, stuffed with food and half a bottle of champagne.; Now half way through a glass of Creme de Menthe. Currently contemplating the profiteroles I made earlier which are supposed to be dipped in caramel but the chances are slim to none so shall just eat filled with Amaretto cream and raspberries.

Two bottles of prosecco and a curry and I'm flagging in front of the fire and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang...

Need to perk up soon though in time for a family Zoom quiz!

We are watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. All washed up and tidy. MIL is pretending not to be asleep. DD is finishing off her Christmas Trifle in the kitchen. DH is making a lego Storm Trooper helmet.

Sipping a Cuba Libre watching Call The Midwife on Drama, contemplating putting the chicken in the oven at some point in the next couple of hours

Watching the horrible history's dvd that ds got today, while also watching ds build a lego set and having a cup of tea. Dh is snoring next to me on the sofa.

Just had a bath and laid on the sofa with a hot water bottle and some cocodamol after a fall whilst out walking the dog this morning.

Going to binge watch greys anatomy box set and eat nuts and cheese. Might chance another mint liquer
