Drinking a mimosa while the boys play on the playstation for a bit before I go see if the Gravadlax turned out okay that I made with ds yesterday 😁

Eating cheese, drinking sherry and thinking about putting our Christmas curries on to cook after their epic marinading session

Chilling on the couch with Buck's Fizz and new book. Kids playing, DH pottering. Some Christmas dinner is already prepped but will be getting to the rest of it shortly. Enjoying a wee break

Finished lunch and I am lying on the sofa waiting for the Xmas pudding to finish steaming so I can fill my tummy.

Having my first glass of wine of the day,watching The Snowman(45 and it still makes me cry)whilst the turkey and glazed gammon are cooking,I've just stuck the potatoes onto par boil whist the oil heats up in the oven.

Quite a relaxing day so far despite the year we've had.

Still in dressing gown, having a latte made in a dolce coffee machine a very kind mnetter gave me in march.

Son is doing goodness knows what in his room, my daughter is here doing her micro block thing (like lego for adults) while we are watching It's a Wonderful Life. In ten minutes I'll put on the oven, and soon get the turkey in.

Just had lunch and am now feeling like I'm going to pop🤢

The turkey is having a little rest, as am I until the potatoes go in and the serious cooking begins. Have been listening to Classic FM and WhatsApping friends and my Mum. It is somewhat glorious.

Eating plain bread sticks trying to be sick... I have had a sickness bug for 2 days😷it’s like 2020 is playing a sick joke on me.

I'm breastfeeding a newborn and crying my eyes out. My beautiful two year old has become possessed and today I am not coping. She needs her routine and a walk and I'm failing at both.

Sitting in rhe other room from DC happily listening to Classic FM top carols, working my way through ferrero rocher and looking forward to my Christmas day bath. Guiltily enjoying a more relaxed day with just the four of us.

@icedaisy I remember that stage three years ago with a fractious two year old and tiny baby. It will get better, every Christmas. I used the excuse that I needed peace to breastfeed baby and escaped to the bedroom with chocolates. Can you do that for a bit?
