It 11:15 pm here and I’m about to go to sleep. Had a beautiful family Christmas and kids loved their gifts. DH is quietly snoring next to me.
We’ve overeaten yet again.

We don't celebrate Christmas but this year we bought a turkey. Kids are all playing nicely. DH still in bed as he worked till late last night. I have buttered the turkey and stuffed with rice... we will see how it turns out. Our first turkey. Although I am a bit worried now as I buttered under the skin and a bit on top but I read you should put olive oil on top to stop it burning but I didn't have any... Roast potatoes and veg later.

It's weirdly peaceful here today

Breastfeeding my DD 1yo to sleep, hoping she's quick as need to shower and beautify before heading to my parents

Watching top of the pops in the living room with dh, dd aged 17 and ds aged 8 who is so, so excited and enjoying all his new bits and bobs.

Messing about on the internet in between going in and out of the kitchen. Next job - Top oven on to heat up for roasties at 12:40.

I’m still in bed! My OH has just text to say he’ll be over about 1.30 so I ought to get out of bed and get showered.

Opening my birthday presents and drinking a glass of white wine.

Bought everyone matching Christmas outfits, DSS11 not wearing his, no idea why. If I'd have known that would be the case, I wouldn't have bothered spending £80 of my own money on it...then I'd be a wicked stepmother. Sigh.

Drinking sparkling wine, putting off cooking. Not long in from the cold and I'm still thawing.

Fiercely guarding the turkey that I KNOW is cooked enough, and I refuse to have a dry, incinerated turkey after this year. My fam don’t believe me.

Drinking espresso martini and eating a croissant whilst the Turkey cooks and the kids are entertained

I'm waiting for the potatoes to finish boiling so I can make the holiday mashed with butter, sour cream, and cream cheese. Everyone else is still asleep (I'm in New York).

In a big bubble bath

MNetting in the kitchen with a cup of coffee. The children are busy playing and I’m toying with the idea of cleaning the kitchen before finishing the cooking. Also considering a Baileys but it might make me sleepy. Decisions!

Cuddled up on the sofa with DH, watching Oliver and trying not to snaffle any more sausage rolls before lunch is ready. He’s in and out of the kitchen and I’m yelling out the occasional cooking directions and requests for more drinks. It’s lush.

I'm cooking the veg with a cigarette and a bottle of Asti proper AbFab style in pyjamas. We're eating early this year and skipped breakfast as were due to my parents at 4 and would like some down time beforehand.

Feeding the baby, having a cuppa and waiting for the pork to be done (and having a sky MN at the same time!)
