DP ate the entire box of Xmas roses yesterday- it’s going to be a long few dayd

Aibu to be really pissed off. I bought a large box of roses chocs for xmas day & DP ate the whole fucking tub yesterday. I haven’t had any and the kids had 2 each.

I know it’s petty but it’s just fucking greedy/ selfish - it’s going to be a looooong few days 🤪

I have done all the Christmas food shopping in our house. The amount begging I've had from my DH to allow him to open the Pringles/ peanuts/ Quality Street before Christmas is a wonder to behold!! It usually ends with a very toddler like cry of, "but I'm huuuungryyyy!!!!"

DH and I ate a whole tub during a 3hr film today! There’s not many in one sadly.

He was very rude to eat them though without sharing. Send him back out for more.

We have a metal tin for Christmas Day but got this tub as a decoy as new we wouldn’t last until 25th otherwise!

Dish up all the roasties on Christmas Day between you and the DC. When he complains tell him that what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander...

All this disgustingly greedy pig like men described on here. Greed is such an unattractive trait x 10 when coupled with selfishness.

This time last year I was 5 1/2m pregnant and working flat out on a really Diffey project. I ate a big metal box of quality street over not quite 2 days. Was kicking myself that I might get gestational diabetes but all ok. Yes, felt sick after but once I’d started I couldn’t stop...don’t usually have a sweet tooth and I’m not overweight 😂. Give him a break, it’s the holidays x

I do think YABU. They were for Xmas and he is replacing them before Xmas so don’t really see what the problem is. These tubs start being sold October/November and I very much doubt that in most households the tin that is offered around on Xmas day was the first tin that they brought 🤣🤣

@Midlifebaby FYI gestational diabetes is not caused by diet or lifestyle (it’s totally different to type 2 diabetes). It’s the result of hormones impacting insulin levels and not something a person can “cause”

There are genetic links, but eating a bucket load of chocolate every day wouldn’t cause it.

I hope there’s some left tomorrow. I tried to get a tub of heroes today and they didn’t have any left. I did manage to get the smaller boxes though.

YANBU. It's really shitty not to leave any for you. There's an unspoken thing in our house that you never finish anything that someone else likes without offering/checking with them so this would give me the rage. I'm genuinely surprised he's not been ill with that amount of chocs. That'd teach him at least!

I really couldn’t get worked up about this , the rule in this house is if it’s there you can eat it , some people just have no self control and they should be pitied .

I feel your pain OP. DH and I have just had a row because he has eaten the two boxes of mince pies I bought on Monday evening already - he has 3 each time. Greedy bastard 😡

DPs teenage son has just eaten all the toffees from our big tin of quality Street after been asked not to as everyone likes them.

I've only just now discovered he's eaten all the fudge as well after been told not to eat all of them! Can't abide selfishness. Grrr.

@Dogscanteatonions no-one in our house cares for the toffees but we fight over the strawberry and orange creams, the other orange one and the coconut chocolates.

There ought to be a Quality Exchange for this!

Roses used to be so delicious, we were a Quality Street house so I would get excited if we visited a Roses house... the cherry ones , the long slim praline ! I loved them. But now even the wrappers are vile, and all the nice flavours have gone. Why do they mess with things like this ? It is so depressing.
