To not want lingerie for Xmas?

Hangingover · 23/12/2020 14:37

Would you be happy to get lingerie for Xmas if you hadn't asked for it?

OP posts:
Waxonwaxoff0 · 23/12/2020 14:38

No. It's not really a present for you, it's a present for your partner!

Holothane · 23/12/2020 14:38

No unless it was big comfy knickers,

Palavah · 23/12/2020 14:40

Silk pyjamas /slip/ knickers yes, delighted.

Crotchless knickers / peephole bra / corset thing no.

Happy for a guy to buy something for fun as a spontaneous gift for us both but not as an actual birthday/christmas gift.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 23/12/2020 14:41

It’s not my thing, no.

thisplaceisweird · 23/12/2020 14:43

Yes because high quality beautiful lingerie is expensive! But only as long as it's something I could actually

thisplaceisweird · 23/12/2020 14:43

Oops *Could actually wear, and not just put on for sex

Divebar · 23/12/2020 14:43

Yes if it was to my taste and in the right size. Lingerie can be pretty and not stereotypically sexy.

MummaBear4321 · 23/12/2020 14:45

Sexy knickers is a gift for him, not for me.

CherryBlossomPink · 23/12/2020 14:45

If it’s quality lingerie which you would actually wear and feel special, then definitely acceptable, if it’s the sexy bedroom only type, then no, not as a present for me as it’s something we would both enjoy.

OmarListening · 23/12/2020 14:46

I'd be furious.

DianaT1969 · 23/12/2020 14:46

Yes. I'd like it to be to my taste, but wouldn't hold it against him if it wasn't. I would think he was trying to keep things fresh.

FizzyPink · 23/12/2020 14:46

Something beautiful and tasteful yes I’d love it

Burnthurst187 · 23/12/2020 14:48

Apple catchers? No thanks

BabyofMine · 23/12/2020 14:48

If it was a Molke bra in the right size I’d be very happy, delighted in fact because I would know the person had been paying attention and I genuinely love their bras. Some “sexy” underwear from my OH, I’d probably lock myself in the bathroom and cry. He wouldn’t do that though.

madcatladyforever · 23/12/2020 14:49

No it would properly piss me off. I got a stupid slave collar one year, I was 50 at the time. I made a point of chucking it in the bin. I think he retrieved it so he could get his money back. Divorced now.

Vitaminsss · 23/12/2020 14:50

I would and I wouldn’t

If he bought other things too, then great

Otherwise it is a bit of a gift for himself

Firenight · 23/12/2020 14:53

Absolutely not. Its a gift for him.

combatbarbie · 23/12/2020 14:53

As long as it wasn't the only gift then no. I'm a 32ff so find beautiful underwear expensive. I usually get bought a set or 2 for Christmas.... Some just lovely day wear, some for more bedroom activity.

LadyLazaruss · 23/12/2020 14:54

I'd care less if it was a Valentine's day gift, but for Christmas? No.

borntohula · 23/12/2020 14:55

Oh yes as long as he bought other stuff too lol.

Emeraldshamrock · 23/12/2020 14:55

No not now. I prefer comfort over style these days.
Pre DC I didn't mind.

Frenchdressing · 23/12/2020 14:57

@Holothane

No unless it was big comfy knickers,
Ha! Same!
Passmeabottlemrjones · 23/12/2020 14:57

I wish my DH would buy me sexy undies! He always refers to the fact that he has bought them for me previously, but that was from M and S in 2005... He says they are 'pointless' because it all comes off in the end anyway.

I can't be arsed to buy my own!

If I hadn't asked for them I might be a bit Hmm

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/12/2020 14:58

It's either for him or it's the adult equivalent of getting socks for Christmas.

thegcatsmother · 23/12/2020 14:58

Dh has bought me some, but I asked for it, as it's an unusual colour in my normal brand. It is expensive (or I think so), so very happy to have it for Christmas.
