No and I prefer pale toast. This is at the far end of what I find acceptable but not burned at all.

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 22/12/2020 21:34

That’s nowhere near burnt.

I like it darker than that. Spread with butter whilst it’s hot, then some more butter when it’s cooled down a little, then a very slight scattering of salt. Then eaten at just the right temperature so you get some melted butter and some unmelted.

Lord I love bread. I have to low carb most of the time because I just love it so much.😆😆

Dahlietta · 22/12/2020 21:37

I like mine rarer than that, but I wouldn’t say it’s burnt.

mountainofdreams · 22/12/2020 21:39

It's perfection!

rainatnightlove · 22/12/2020 21:41

No it's perfect Shock

MisfitRightIn · 22/12/2020 21:41

Not burnt, golden brown.

mintich · 22/12/2020 21:42

No it's just right!

Crumpetycrump · 22/12/2020 21:42

Ooh are you doing the Nigella double buttering?

EllyNC · 22/12/2020 21:43

PERFECT TOAST

Ravenesque · 22/12/2020 21:43

That's not even close to being burnt!

Threelionsandalioness · 22/12/2020 21:44

Perfect no where near charcol

coldwaterfeed · 22/12/2020 21:46

Any paler it would need suntan lotion. YANBU.

starfishmummy · 22/12/2020 21:47

Not burned at all. In fact I would consider it under-done.

EwwSprouts · 22/12/2020 21:50

Borderline. I prefer paler.

DodoApplet · 22/12/2020 21:50

There’s an art of knowing when - never try to guess;
Toast it till it smokes and then, twenty seconds less.

OrangeBananaFish · 22/12/2020 21:50

ooh its a little bit overdone for me, but I wouldn't say burnt. It would be OK to eat with cheese or Jam on, but not just butter, I'd have to scrape a little bit of the darker bits off

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 22/12/2020 21:53

It is closer to raw than burnt!!

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 22/12/2020 22:00

Not burnt but cut rather shoddily.
It should be cut on the diagonal as it is easier to get a 'point' into the mouth and so avoid crumbs / butter on one's cheeks.

Natsel84 · 22/12/2020 22:01

Just right to me

MysteriesOfTheOrganism · 22/12/2020 22:03

Only just toasted!

Beansprout30 · 22/12/2020 22:03

Perfectly toasted but totally sliced the wrong way!! Diagonals only for toast

NellePorter · 22/12/2020 22:03

Not burnt, ever so slightly too well done for me, but I would still eat it at a push!

Leaspr · 22/12/2020 22:04

It’s perfect. Definitely not burnt

user1471478181 · 22/12/2020 22:06

No just right

StanfordPines · 22/12/2020 22:06

If it was bread it would be burnt but as toast it’s exactly right.
