@legallybland
needs more jam

You mis-spelled marmalade.

DonttouchthatLarry · 22/12/2020 20:17

That is just perfect!

Chloemol · 22/12/2020 20:17

YANBU

Nowaynothappening · 22/12/2020 20:17

That looks absolutely perfect to me.

Thighdentitycrisis · 22/12/2020 20:18

No

Ellie56 · 22/12/2020 20:18

That's not burnt. Burnt toast is black.

MimiDaisy11 · 22/12/2020 20:18

My OH always says I don't toast bread long enough but even I don't class that as anywhere near burnt.

diddl · 22/12/2020 20:18

Lordy, if he thinks that that is burnt, did the toast he made even see the toaster?

lovinglife321 · 22/12/2020 20:19

Perfect to me!

Halsall · 22/12/2020 20:19

Nowhere near done enough for me.

Before Covid, when I still went into places, one of the biggest causes of frustration for me was trying to explain (politely) to cafe staff that when I ordered toast, I meant bread that had actually been toasted, not shown to the grill for 3 nano-seconds at a distance of 5 yards.

GlendaSugarbeanIsJudgingYou · 22/12/2020 20:19

@TVDFan

Thank you! DH is currently eating humble pie Grin

He made me some toast that was basically warm bread and still white. I made some myself instead (seen in pic) and he was adamant it was burnt 🙄😅

Ugh! DH makes that horrible, pale, floppy "toast".

Yours is perfect.

parlourpalm · 22/12/2020 20:19

@bloodywhitecat

It's getting that way but not burnt yet, any darker and it would be.
What
DoubleNegativePanda · 22/12/2020 20:20

Burned? That toast isn't even dark enough for me.

ColdTattyWaitingForSummer · 22/12/2020 20:21

I like mine slightly less toasted than that, but I get teased for making “warm bread”. Even I wouldn’t call that burnt though.

MitziK · 22/12/2020 20:23

Needs another 45 seconds in a hot toaster, in my opinion.

DP forgets and makes what I call 'Flop' ('cause it sure as Hell ain't 'Toast') every so often because it's what his mother thinks is toast.

I put it down to confusing my instructions for tea - put boiling water in with the teabag and then wave the bottle of milk at it from the other side of the kitchen - with those for making lovely, crispy, dark brown toast - make it slightly darker than my cups of tea and then put as much cold butter on it as possible.

Riv12345 · 22/12/2020 20:24

Perfect to me

WhereverIGoddamnLike · 22/12/2020 20:24

Has he never seen toast before? Because what you'vemakde is just standard toast.

billy1966 · 22/12/2020 20:24

Perfect.
Definitely not burnt.

Scbchl · 22/12/2020 20:24

Cooked perfectly and optimal toastiness for me.

Doilooklikeatourist · 22/12/2020 20:24

It's practically raw

Neenan · 22/12/2020 20:32

THAT, dear OP is lightly toasted bread.

I prefer it a little darker myself and cooled sufficiently so that the butter doesn’t melt, and can be spread thickly like pate. Followed by a thin layer of Marmite.

There is no other way to eat toast.

akerman · 22/12/2020 20:33

That looks perfect toast to me and I like your plate.

Holothane · 22/12/2020 20:33

No that’s not burnt I like my toast cold, dh just doesn’t get it. Burnt I don’t mind either.

maddiemookins16mum · 22/12/2020 20:34

It’s perfect.

Otterseatpuffinsdontthey · 22/12/2020 20:34

Looks good to me. Let's see the back Xmas Smile
