Just abandoned trolley in supermarket.......

Shops always busy at Christmas, I've just stupidly tried to pop in for a few things, first aisle got jammed in and couldn't move trolley round with out bumping someone, everywhere I turned trolleys and people darting around. Put my apples back, decided to go back later but still struggled to navigate round people. Get near doors decide to keep walking at this point as a man walk down my right side trying to cut across in front and because I decided to keep going, got called a F**king nut case and he kept calling me to the man behind me.

As I left I stated to the man behind that I'd spend a good while trying to stay out of people way that I didnt actually get anywhere and he was being a bit harsh, he replied well I never f**king said anything did I.
I need stuff but I'm I the only one to find the shops today so unbearable that I left and Im prepared to just get whats left later rather than deal with crowds like that.
Christ it had me dizzy and demented.

Sorry, just feel calmer already just typing my stress out!!!

Hopefully next Christmas will be covid free and we dont have to dance around each other. I find it stressful (shopping for food) I'm always on full alert. So by the time I get done I need a coffee.

Milssofadoesntreallyfit · 29/12/2020 17:20

@KatherineOfTarragon I didn't leave a full trolley, I only pickup apples and I did put them back, all covered in previous posts.

Yes i was organised, just wanted apples. I did go back when quiet.
Simply forgot how busy it could get, I am coping and this was started genuinely due to be being annoyed with myself for forgetting how busy it would be, getting stressed and annoyed at myself.
Im not awfully surprised at some reactions on this post as many like yourself hadn't read that I had put goods back, some seem to have got the point I tried to make, others have missed it wildly!

@justasking111 "Some customers have panic attacks, add add a mask to that and I can see why trolleys are abandoned".

So those people / asthmatics who have done / managed their own shopping for decades, now suddenly unable to shop, as need to acquire and wear the addition of a mask? What nonsense.

I am life long serious asthmatic, hospitalised over 20 times between 1971-2020. And a 2018 Pneumonia survivor. You can be asthmatic , you can wear a mask, you can go shopping, you can plan in advance, you will not need any special treatment. You can just get on with things and queue like others.

You can just get on with things, and you can have a hissy fit and you can leave your trolley in the middle of the supermarket!

I think you abandoned your trolley. You did not need to leave your trolley.

Your abandonment of your l supermarket trolley is about you.
You left your trolley as you are too precious to queue for fruit.

This is what this thread is about.

Lazy arsed people !

@Milssofadoesntreallyfit
Yes , i think i may have misunderstood.

ilovesooty · 29/12/2020 18:18

@KatherineOfTarragon, reading your posts I think I'd rather show myself as lazy arsed and falling short of perfection than actively unkind.

KatherineOfTarragon · 29/12/2020 18:33

@ilovesooty well there you are.

Enjoy your lazy arsenedness !

KatherineOfTarragon · 29/12/2020 18:55

@ilovesooty guess as a chronic asthmatic. Hospitalised at least 15 times and on nebulisers, since the 1970's, throughout the 80's s the 90',s the 00's and present day. I have never left any xmas abandoned .

I have been to shops and queued, along with everyone else.

I with get on with it. Perhaps others can too!

Bridewel1 · 29/12/2020 19:03

I’ve actually never done anything like that in marks before! I’m assuming mumsneters must be saints then.

Obviously my general point has been lost on you. Having read your posts and seen your attitude to others, I'm not really surprised.

Ddot · 29/12/2020 19:14

Your turn today to get the roasting, never actually adds anything constructive just nasty.

Ddot · 29/12/2020 19:15

Bully tactics yet again

Who?
Ddot · 29/12/2020 19:21

It's not lazy or precious it's a matter of self preservation. I have no intention of putting myself at risk. Covid will eventually be beaten into submission 🤞. I'm trying my best to avoid the damn thing.

Ddot · 29/12/2020 19:22

Kath

Usually I try to plan and straight in and out, but it's usually the queues or I get distracted that slow me down, I like the trolley However a basket is more tactical for a limited number of items.
