Currently sat watching "sharktopus" on prime... it's about a killer octopus with a sharks head..

It is so bad it's amazing!

I love this type of film so much!

Anyone else share my love for these type of films?

Does arachnophobia count? The jumpy spider bit always gets me.

Mammyloveswine · 21/12/2020 16:24

Yes it does @Northernshepherd ! Love it!!!

I feel like I am living in one right now

1Morewineplease · 21/12/2020 16:29

Aaah... "The Night of the Lepus".
A hilariously bad old horror film with superimposed giant rabbits.

Shark ado is excellent.

Mammyloveswine · 21/12/2020 16:29

@1Morewineplease that sounds right up my street!

SummerHouse · 21/12/2020 16:31

I feel like we are living Final Destination right now.

Tigger03 · 21/12/2020 16:31

Yes! Love them all!

See also eight legged freaks, rampage, Godzilla.

GreenlandTheMovie · 21/12/2020 16:33

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 21/12/2020 16:33

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 21/12/2020 16:34

But ds1 and i took the piss out if it all evening so that was nice

Thebookswereherfriends · 21/12/2020 16:35

I loved Rampage with “The Rock”. Also enjoyed Sharknado. SAN Andreas fault was delightfully cheesy and unbelievable.

VeganVeal · 21/12/2020 16:36

I saw one recently, cant remember what it was called, but it was about a virus that spread around the world. Wrecked civilisation as we knew it.
You couldnt get pasta and loo roll for love nor money and Christmas was cancelled.
People revolted and did whatever they wanted, it was madness (Not Suggs)
What was it called? Oh yes I remember now, News at 10

VetiverAndLavender · 21/12/2020 16:36

Birdemic!

(And it's not to everyone's taste, I know, but you might be interested in Mystery Science Theater 3000 or the modern version, Rifftrax? Comedians making comments/riffing on really awful movies. A lot of them are this type of low-budget "creature feature" films.)

Mammyloveswine · 21/12/2020 16:36

I recently watched "volcano" and whilst not as outrageous as others was still
Ott and thoroughly enjoyable... like 2012!

1Morewineplease · 21/12/2020 16:37

Oops..."Sharknado ."

Campervan69 · 21/12/2020 16:37

Yes adore a disaster movie. I'm more of the collapse of society type though - loved Geostorm the other night, and have watched Contagion a couple of times through lockdown.

Also World War Z is a fave. The Impossible about the Boxing Day Tsunami very good.

Sailor2009 · 21/12/2020 16:38

Currently watching icesharks which is terrible. Last week it was 5 headed shark attack. Cheesy shark films are my guilty pleasure Smile

poshme · 21/12/2020 16:40

Loved Tremors.

Mammyloveswine · 21/12/2020 16:40

@Sailor2009 I like the sound of both of these!

I watched "dark water:abyss" last week which again was really good! Slightly more believable than sharknado but still a bit "yeah that would happen"!
