Currently sat watching "sharktopus" on prime... it's about a killer octopus with a sharks head..

It is so bad it's amazing!

Anyone else share my love for these type of films?

Oooh @Campervan69 I watched contagion last week... it's a bit too similar to real life!!! 😱

Campervan69 · 21/12/2020 16:43

I loved feeling knowledgeable 🤣😆 nodding wisely about hand gel and masks.

Mammyloveswine · 21/12/2020 16:44

I have found my people!

Tremors may be the best film ever made - a young Kevin Bacon and giant worms! What's not to like!

Eight legged freaks is fun too.

RincewindsHat · 21/12/2020 16:47

Tremors is so good!!

Check out a 2011 film called Sanctum: cave diving x flash flood x multiple gruesome and unfortunate deaths = brilliant movie!

ApocalypseNowt · 21/12/2020 16:57

Sanctum sounds ace. I'm making a list of films to watch from this thread.

There's a film about an island filled with spiders, I think it's called Arachnid. It's pretty hammy but decent for a low budget creature feature.

Mammyloveswine · 21/12/2020 16:58

@RincewindsHat oooh going to check out sanctum!

I love murder mysteries. God, there's nothing like a good murder to warm the cockles of my hearts.

The only time I ever watch soap operas is when I know in advance half the cast is going to be taken out by a natural or man-made disaster or serial killer. **

TheRaccoon · 21/12/2020 17:02

I’ve watched every single Sharknado film and actually consider them to be quite highbrow.

Mammyloveswine · 21/12/2020 17:02

@Butchyrestingface may I recommend "they walk among us" podcast... have loved it!

My people!!!

You have to indulge in Lavalantula starring Steve Guttenberg and friends from Police Academy. Volcano spiders - classic Grin

ragged · 21/12/2020 17:37

Volcanos vs. Airplanes, OP. Helps to have beer to hand.

CounsellorTroi · 21/12/2020 17:40

I love shark films too. There was one on Netflix about a shark that gets into a flooded supermarket following a tsunami.

ApocalypseNowt · 21/12/2020 17:46

Shark in the supermarket is called Bait. I liked it!

LilacSloth · 21/12/2020 17:53

Tremors is fantastic! I think I might watch it tonight. Xmas Grin

Plonque · 21/12/2020 17:55

If you like stalky shark type films you might like Crawl, it's about enormous genius crocodiles but very much along the same path.
To love an extreme disaster film
LilacSloth · 21/12/2020 17:55

The Shallows with Blake Lively is good too.

Mammyloveswine · 21/12/2020 17:56

@CounsellorTroi haha I loved that!!

Mammyloveswine · 21/12/2020 17:57

magicstar1 · 21/12/2020 18:11

I love old disaster movies. The Towering Inferno, The Poseidon Adventure etc.

Eight legged freaks is a more modern favourite

Dizzy1234 · 21/12/2020 18:13

I love Tremors, Kevin Bacon mmmmm, cheesy and scary, it's a feet off the floor movie in case the Foot Monster gets ya!
