I just love it! It’s such a good British humour Christmas film and doesn’t have all the cheesiness of an American christmas film!

I love it because I get my bike. Wink

Haggisfish · 20/12/2020 20:47

Yes I loved it! Watched it last night for the first time.

It's one of my favourite Christmas films Smile

AppleKatie · 20/12/2020 20:52

I like it to but DH fell asleep and DC asked for it off after 50mins today 😂

It's brilliant!

Wishfulthinkk · 20/12/2020 20:57

Am I the only one that really doesn’t like it Blush I think it has too much technology and ruins the idea of the “magic” of Christmas! Father Xmas shouldn’t have all these gizmos and gadgets! Bah humbug, give me the Polar Express any day Grin

Binglebong · 20/12/2020 20:59

Love it! My favourite Christmas film.

Binglebong · 20/12/2020 21:01

The 9nly thing is that at the end "X got Y and was happy" and "A got B and was happy" and nowhere does it say Arthur is happy!

ChestnutStuffing · 20/12/2020 21:05

This isn't my favourite, and I am not British, but yes, generally I find the American Christmas films too much. Not cheezy so much as too sentimental? Or too idiotic. It seems to go one way or the other.

In terms of cheezy family Christmas fare I'm quite fond of Nativity: Danger In the Manger, myself. Something to do with evil choir directors, I think.

nancybotwinbloom · 20/12/2020 21:06

@Annoy

I will watch this tomorrow on the sofa whilst my DH is at work

TheGremlinsAreComing · 20/12/2020 21:08

Definitely a favourite in our house

NemoRocksMyWorld · 20/12/2020 21:10

It's the grandad santa.... He makes me laugh so much. With the rubbish at the end. Xmas Grin

Junioravoch · 20/12/2020 21:11

Love Arthur Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄

Xiaoxiong · 20/12/2020 21:12

We love it but for pure inaccessible Britishness I think the Nativity films take the prize. My American aunt sat through the first half hour of the first film completely lost and us trying to explain the jokes didn't help either!

blubberball · 20/12/2020 21:12

I love Arthur Christmas. I love the wrapping elf obsessed with bows and sticky tape, I love the old Michael Palin elf, and the Grand Santa. It's one of my favourite Christmas films.

Theredjellybean · 20/12/2020 21:13

Our family favorite
We can all quote bill nighys grandpa santa lines... Especially when he can't remember the names of the reindeer....

CoronaCurls · 20/12/2020 21:13

It's my favourite Christmas film too! Does anyone else think Arthur's brother Steve looks like Paul Hollywood??

Cocopogo · 20/12/2020 21:14

My favourite Xmas film

That's kind of the point of the film.........
