Considering half of this site seems to be completely happy with breaking Covid related laws which other laws do you think shouldn't apply to you?
Is a TV licence too expensive and therefore optional? Should seatbelts be compulsory? Is it ever acceptable to take something without paying? Is assault acceptable in certain circumstances?

I don't often set out to break the law. But it has been known to happen on the odd occasion.

@TheBuffster

Nothing divisive or generalised about my views, they are very clear. Religion is a poison, good people do good things and bad people do bad things, but to get good people to do evil you need religion. This is not the place for this discussion as I don't want to hijack the thread. If you want to start a thread on religion, I will happily discuss the superiority of secular morality.

No it's alright. I'm an atheist and can't be bothered. It's pagan Yule log time and I want to unwind with some mulled wine.

Well I’ve just discovered that I could have been popping into my nearest Tier 2 city and shooting Scotsmen with my crossbow. Who knew?

JellyBabiesSaveLives · 23/12/2020 17:43

Oh, and driving from my home in tier 3, into tier 2, for the purpose of shooting said Scotsman with my crossbow (or any purpose) is not illegal, it’s merely against the guidance.

Not all covid rules are the law. The law, I obey. The advice, I use to inform my own decisions.

And I’m not going Scotsman-hunting today because it’s December and the city will be rammed with idiots from neighbouring Tier 3 cities on an illegal night out with their mates, and there won’t be room to swing a bow.

Chinainmyhandsoitis · 23/12/2020 17:48

I would break laws I have moral objections to, of course I would. And history shows us that it can be a good thing when people question laws and a bad thing when they blindly follow laws and allow injustice.

@Cam2020 "if only sanctimony were a crime".
Yes indeed. Merry Christmas x
