FBI now deployed to assist US Capitol Police.

There is a huge effort to keep the US Military out of this situation. For how long will treating this as a policing issue be possible?
This is a good question. The problem with this lot is if you bring in the miltary is that where it gets out of control and violent. If that happens the danger is that it sparks something much wider...

The issue is what happens tonight after 6pm? Thats when it could get ugly.

One person is in critical condition after being shot at the US #Capitol and at least five people have been transported to the hospital, according to Washington DC emergency services.

One of those injured was a law enforcement officer.

RNC was a pipe bomb, successfully detonated safely; DNC not yet identified.

DH works for an international company with a Washington office. The President of the company has just sent out a company-wide email to say he’s ordered the DC office to close immediately and all staff to go home and stay home until further notice.

Yes, and it appears the Capitol Police have engineered a strategic retreat in order to avoid being drawn into a provovation in which the insurgents will star as heroes of their own narrative.
