Just saw a godawful clip of a woman wheeled away by paramedics as they do cpr.

If he is going to be the rallying point for these thugs, he needs to be imprisoned sharpish, and his phone removed.

I believe there is a photo of this circulating on social media. The woman does not look in a good way. No idea if its genuine but the US news agencies are now taking reports of a woman having been shot seriously.

What happens if Congress fails to count the electoral vote today?

I understand it's a constitutional requirement to do on this date, starting at 1pm.

Can't they simply do this "tomorrow" or are the implications more significant?

The Virginia National Guard and 200 state troopers are being sent to DC, per a top Va official.

Video clip taken by someone who was standing right next to her has been posted.

Riot police have arrived (I'm watching Fox News - even they are horrified that this is happening at all).

Fox News have tweeted calling it 'a brief evacuation of the Capitol building'

Hard to understand what is Pentagon "analyzing" about DC's National Guard request.

The actual Capitol Building is breached. What is there to "analyze"? They were deployed over summer in DC for way more peaceful events.

Worst case, on the 20th, Pelosi is sworn in as President, as House Majority Leader. A shot in the foot.
