The comments under that Ben Sasse piece - and elsewhere - the vehement madness of the MAGAs - I am really worried for the next few weeks in America. Really worried. So many of them seem quite insane and willing to do damage and CONVINCED that trump is going to be inaugurated and the election flipped. What are they capable of?

It's seems that all weapons have to be concealed in DC and you need at permit to carry one which is issued locally. This has put the PB in a spin as they had planned to turn up fully armed.

There is also PB trouble as P Girls have started a movement, PB are saying "get back in the kitchen and get pregnant" which isn't going down well at all ...

I agree that 6 Jan will be very interesting. And I doubt that Scrotus will be so fucking eager to call out the military on the PBs and their ilk.

I haven't heard anything about Antifa or BLM staging counter-protests. Honestly, it would be better if they just stayed home.

I saw 2021 in then woke at 6.30 this morning dammit.

That money raising email is awful. So if you give $100 it's a 'contribution'.
But give $1,100 and it's 'total impact'
(No idea why $1,100 and not 1,000)
Are people really thick enough to think they are making a major impact on getting Trump sworn in by lining his pockets?

Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., has raised its prices for lodging ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration.

The hotel's website says a two-night minimum is required for guests visiting around Inauguration Day on Jan. 20. Rates are now $2,225 a night for Jan. 19 and 20, compared with closer to $400 for other days in January.

Other hotels in the area, such as the Hay-Adams hotel and The St. Regis have also raised the rates for their rooms during the inauguration as well. Prices for rooms reached $1,399 and $999 per night respectively.

The rate increases were previously reported by Politico.

The Trump Organization attempted to sell its lease on the D.C. property earlier this year but eventually put the sale on hold.

President Trump has yet to concede the election to President-elect Joe Biden, repeatedly making unsubstantiated allegations that the election was "rigged" and stolen from him.

Trump has also yet to reveal whether he will attend Biden's inauguration, despite other GOP lawmakers urging him to do so.

Whilst I cannot wait for the inauguration, it is not going to be like others because of covid and I dread MAGAs saying how the numbers were low, poorly attended etc.
No. People want to avoid the virus, that's all.

I hope that he is shattered, humiliated and embarrassed, full of shame. I would like it if he were completely crushed, so much so that he retreated into a little ball of self pity and LEFT US ALL ALONE.

And I'd like people to stop ignoring it when he cheats at golf, too. For anyone he is playing against to say, "No, Mr Trump, you've miscounted that" and "No, that wasn't your ball" and the like.

He deserves to be put where he has put millions of other people, if he hasn't actually caused their deaths (I am thinking here of Kurds and Saudis and Afghans and Iranians and Latin Americans as well as all the people he's betrayed in his own country; all the people including little children he has deprived of hope): somewhere in a little hope-free hell all of his own with no comfort from anyone.
