"It's a viscous circle"

Really? It's a circle with a thick, sticky consistency?

It's a vicious cycle, for fuck's sake.

Yes, I'm an unbearable pendant. I don't actually think it's that unreasonable.

I quite like the idea of a sticky circle. Very expressive.,

PrincessNutNutRoast · 18/12/2020 21:18

Yes, I'm an unbearable pendant.

Ha.

Drogonssmile · 18/12/2020 21:18

Eurgh I hate the word viscous. It reminds me of globule. Envy

HollyBollyBooBoo · 18/12/2020 21:19

😂

TheYearOfSmallThings · 18/12/2020 21:20

I thought it was going to be the lady with the arse-hatch of her dodgy looking onesie hanging seductively open.

That makes me want to claw my eyes out way more than viscous circle.

Jesus, I can't fucking stand a pedant. You knew what it meant so what is the issue?! I often wonder what drives someone to be so bothered about shit like this. Yabu.

OhCaptain · 18/12/2020 21:26

An unbearable pendant?

🤣🤣🤣

MsPants · 18/12/2020 21:29

I don't wish to derail, but yes, what the shit is that onesie all about?

I can't imagine who looked at a pair of cowboy long johns and thought "that's what attractive young women should be wearing"

Rhynswynd · 18/12/2020 21:31

When auto correct gives you pendant hopefully you can understand how some others get viscous. Get over it.

PrincessNutNutRoast · 18/12/2020 21:31

I assumed those onesies were fetish wear? What else would they be?

TheYearOfSmallThings · 18/12/2020 21:33

Iassumed those onesies were fetish wear?

But why are they on my screen, making me look like a pervert?

HowManyToes · 18/12/2020 21:34

OHolyTights · 18/12/2020 21:35

I'm hoping for a nice pendant for Christmas.

Mycircusmymonkey · 18/12/2020 21:36

Ahh yes the seductive arse cheek hanging out of a onesie flap. Its haunting me everywhere!

Mycircusmymonkey · 18/12/2020 21:38

Ha ha nothing is more glorious than a pedant making a spelling mistake.

RolandSchitt · 18/12/2020 21:40

Please tell me unbearable pendant was deliberate Grin

TheSandman · 18/12/2020 21:40

Because pedants make things work. We're the ones who are precise and get it right. We don't just slap things together and hope the other person understands what we're talking about.

If you are ever in the position of having to defend yourself in court please never tell your lawyer that you "can't fucking stand a pedant" unless you are deliberately trying to loose the case.

MaskingForIt · 18/12/2020 21:42

I’m with you on the viscous, but circle and cycle are both acceptable.

www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/vicious%20circle

And for those taking the piss out of “pendant”, it is a well-known tongue-in-cheek phrase that pedants use when they are referring to themselves. It’s an in-joke that you didn’t get.

MaskingForIt · 18/12/2020 21:43

unless you are deliberately trying to loose the case.

Or even trying to lose the case.

Thewithesarehere · 18/12/2020 21:44

A viscous circle is a very vicious circle indeed. Grin

Mycircusmymonkey · 18/12/2020 21:44

Loose the case?

Fucking wonderful thank you 🙏

MistyGreenAndBlue · 18/12/2020 21:47

@PrincessNutNutRoast

Yes, I'm an unbearable pendant.

Ha.

Oh the irony Grin
PrincessNutNutRoast · 18/12/2020 21:49

Because they know you want them.
wanderings · 18/12/2020 21:49

There are lots of "unviersities" out there, sometimes on their official websites. And what's a vicious bicycle anyway? Or is it a unicycle? And why isn't that vehicle called a monocycle?

In the shops, I saw labels for carrot's, potato's, DVD's, and confectionary. There were more, but my eye's couldn't take it!
