Just that. Am curious to see what MNers would do if offered.

YANBU - I WOULD have the vaccine.

YABU - I WOULD NOT have the vaccine.

Am 40. NHS worker. Healthy and low risk.

Can not wait for the vaccine!!

Interesting about the concerns about fertility. How would the vaccine affect fertility? And how does this compare to other vaccines and concerns about fertility?

nosswith · 17/12/2020 15:22

Higher proportion of yes than I expected. Long time since I was part of such a large majority on anything.

Sue9008 · 17/12/2020 15:24

Definitely have it

Parker231 · 17/12/2020 15:26

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t want it - DH had it on Friday as he’s a GP and will be giving the vaccinations. Everyone I know wants to do everything they can to restart a normal life.

Longdistance · 17/12/2020 15:26

Yes. I’m asthmatic and can’t wait to have it.
I usually go here, there and everywhere. I don’t do anything now apart from work (where I’m protected) and the supermarket.

isadorapolly · 17/12/2020 15:27

If I was an nhs worker definitely.

Singinghollybob · 17/12/2020 15:28

Yes I had mine this morning

yoyo1234 · 17/12/2020 15:29

Definitely would have it. DH has had it. Only upset he didn't get an "I was brave " sticker ( which he requests for his flu vaccine!).

madcatladyforever · 17/12/2020 15:31

Absolutely, I work in the NHS and some of my colleagues are seriously ill with covid. I don't want covid I have health problems. I'd quite like to make it to retirement.

saraclara · 17/12/2020 15:32

If you're unsure about it, can I have yours? Seriously, it can't come soon enough for me.

NeedingCoffee · 17/12/2020 15:34

Cannot bloody wait. Vaccine vs possible long covid is no contest.
I will probably have to hope that there are lots of people who don’t want theirs, since I’m under 50 with no significant health conditions. So all of you who are worried, no problem, there will be plenty of people to have your dose. Just bear in mind that there are no plans to vaccinate children, so the chances are that the virus will still be circulating and you could well catch it.

MrsBeltane · 17/12/2020 15:34

I've been giving them today and I've had one. No one reported any reactions today or yesterday.

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 17/12/2020 15:36

Yes yes yes I’m having the vaccine as soon as I can

TicTac80 · 17/12/2020 15:38

I'd definitely have it :)

Florelei · 17/12/2020 15:42

I will cry with joy when my mother gets hers. I will definitely have it if I’m offered. I’m in my 30s and fit and healthy so I don’t even know if I’ll be offered it.

unchienandalusia · 17/12/2020 15:43

Yes of course. I'll be the last to get it but I'd be thrilled to get it earlier.

wonkylegs · 17/12/2020 15:43

Yes, I'm in group 6 due to medication and there is some question as to how well it will work for people on my meds but still think it's a positive step

Redburnett · 17/12/2020 15:43

Vaccinations have prevented all the younger members of my family from polio which affected a few older members with lasting lifelong effects. Vaccinations have helped to eliminate smallpox. Vaccinations have prevented my DC from suffering the childhood illnesses I had (Measles, mumps, rubella). Vaccinations have protected my DC from different forms of meningitis. Vaccinations have protected me from various infections when on holiday (eg yellow fever, typhoid, hepatitis). Vaccination has protected me against flu for many years (after having it once I never want to experience that again). I am so grateful to have been born at a time when modern medicine can protect us from serious diseases. I am looking forward to my turn to have a Covid vaccination.

400rabbits · 17/12/2020 15:46

God yes, can't wait!

peboh · 17/12/2020 15:46

My mum has had the first jab of the covid vaccine, and she works in the nhs so if she's okay with having it I certainly would if offered.

Happyoldbat · 17/12/2020 15:46

I would definitely have it and be thankful that we live in a world where such things are possible. You may not be high risk now, but your risk will be increasing steadily over the next few years. A low immediate risk to yourself shouldn’t be the deciding factor, though. Those of us who can be vaccinated ought to have it, to protect all those who can’t have the vaccine or in whom the vaccine is not effective, whether we know them or not.

opinionatedfreak · 17/12/2020 15:49

My colleagues are all fighting for vaccine slots.

I'm keen too but will just wait my turn as I"m low risk.

Greenpolkadot · 17/12/2020 15:49

Definatly,,i cant wait for mine,,

lonelySam · 17/12/2020 15:50

No, I wouldn't.

lightyearsahead · 17/12/2020 15:54

Yes absolutely!
