Just that. Am curious to see what MNers would do if offered.

YANBU - I WOULD have the vaccine.

YABU - I WOULD NOT have the vaccine.

Am 40. NHS worker. Healthy and low risk.

Yesss I would have it right now.

Jerble · 17/12/2020 13:45

Yes I would but I would give it to my dad instead if given the chance

GlowingOrb · 17/12/2020 13:45

My understanding is that We don’t know how much it helps protect against transmission yet, but on just the hope that it helps protect your household members in addition to you, I would get the shot.

TeenPlusTwenties · 17/12/2020 13:46

Absolutely I would have it.

Morasssassafras · 17/12/2020 13:47

Yes, can't wait for my turn.

PreRaphaeliteMotherhood · 17/12/2020 13:47

I’m breastfeeding and I’m pretty sure I’d still have it if offered. I’d definitely have it if not feeding.

Doihaff2 · 17/12/2020 13:47

I’d definitely have it

PinkFondantFancy · 17/12/2020 13:47

The question more is whether you want to have it. If you don't want it, surely they respect that decision? (I really hope it's truly just an option for you with no coersion involved)

Serendipity79 · 17/12/2020 13:48

Yes - looking at the list of categories I think I'm in group 6 so a while to wait yet but I shall be there when summoned with my arm out!

Zilla1 · 17/12/2020 13:48

If Covid then are you pregnant and which, the Pfizer?

QuestionableMouse · 17/12/2020 13:49

The vaccine proves to me that any problem can be solved quickly if you throw enough money at it.

I'll be getting it as soon as I can.

Doveyouknow · 17/12/2020 13:49

Yes, I wouldn't hesitate. Or we can all avoid getting the jab and just repeat 2020 again in 2021. I mean, it's gone so well...

Clarich007 · 17/12/2020 13:50

Yes, no hesitation

AcornAutumn · 17/12/2020 13:50

@QuestionableMouse

I'll be getting it as soon as I can.

Please tell me this is sarcasm.
Gotobloodysleep · 17/12/2020 13:51

Yes, I'd have it as quick as possible.

DappledThings · 17/12/2020 13:52

I'd absolutely have it. DH has been involve din the rollout at his trust and last week they had a lot of DNAs. I asked if he could get me in to take up one of the unused one on some kind of friends and family scheme!

This wasn't actually a possibility obviously but they are getting it to more NHS staff now. I'll be in a really low priority tier for it but I will have it as soon as it's offered.

PLAYJAJADINGDONG · 17/12/2020 13:54

Mostly yesses then.

I'm not dithering btw. Am going to have it. I've just always been a bit of a skeptic and have zero faith in the government so was just wavering a little as to whether I've done adequate research of my own etc.

There's a definite feeling of pressure from colleagues. It's automatically assumed we're all having it and no-one wants to be the one who dissents (one colleague is unsure due to worries about future fertility. NOT related to that stupid FB post that has now been debunked).

if a health worker yes, I'd see it as part of the job requirements.

as a non-health worker, no, but that's me being stroppy, I freely admit.

TheTrollFairy · 17/12/2020 13:56

I would. From my limited research, it’s a general covid vaccine which has been slightly changed to suit the covid strain. This happens with the flu jab each year so I can’t really see the difference from it.
I haven’t really looked into it though as I haven’t been offered it as of yet!

AndcalloffChristmas · 17/12/2020 13:56

Yes absolutely!

QuizzlyBear · 17/12/2020 13:57

In a heartbeat!

TheDogsMother · 17/12/2020 13:57

Yes x 100

CustardySergeant · 17/12/2020 13:57

I would definitely have it. I am an extreme pessimist so I'm thinking I'll probably get covid before I get the vaccine. That's how pessimistic I am, but even with that degree of "miserable-sodness" I have no worries about the vaccine. I just wish I could have it sooner rather than later.

Throckmorton · 17/12/2020 13:57

I would definitely have it. I have zero faith in the government too, but they didn't develop this.

EllenRipley · 17/12/2020 13:58

No.
(Not for any tinfoil hat-wearing/anti-vaxxer reasons either - I simply choose not to.)
