Thoughts...?

Mentally ill? Money maker, batshit crazy, insightful?

Do you believe he honestly believes in the things he says? Why did he go down this path

I remember when David Icke was 'normal'.

He was a former goalie turned sports commentator who went completely off the deep end and started wearing Scouser suits.

He was interviewed by Terry Wogan, who you could see regretting this decision as soo as he started the conversation.

Icke is a delusional fantasist, openly despised by religious conspiracy theorists for atheism and his speeches and 'research' have been hijacked by white supremacists (lizard people being used as a 'euphemism' for black, Jewish and Asian people), anti gay fanatics (for lizard people, substitute 'degenerates') and misogynists (for lizard people, substitute feminists).

Barkspawn · 20/12/2020 20:02

He himself likes to compare zionists to lizards.

@Crystalclair

If someone told me a year ago, it would be illegal to have people for other households in my home, I'd thing they were mentally ill...

I think some of what Icke has said holds water.

Like what?
ParlezVousWronglais · 21/12/2020 00:52

Well, he has had a lot of mental health issues and he does talk balmy nonsense outlandish conspiracy theories. But he also mingles in a few true and insightful things in as well.

A few true and insightful things????

Only by sheer bleeding coincidence.

He is so batshit that he could be interpreted any which way.

Nostradamus' writings could be interpreted to incorporate what's happened in 2020.

Doesn't mean a damn thing.

PurpleTrilby · 21/12/2020 01:05

He's a total cunt. Don't ever forget that.

ParlezVousWronglais · 22/12/2020 00:19

I think that’s right. He comes out with mad stuff. But in a mad world some of it is bound to be right. Truth is stranger than fiction and all that..

PurpleTrilby · 22/12/2020 00:46

Bullshit, Parlez. He's a cunt and so is anyone who thinks he has even one word of sense. Nope nope and nope.

openallthetime · 22/12/2020 22:43

I think he's a dangerous man.

FuckOffBorisYouTwat · 22/12/2020 22:57

I've met him (about 25 years ago). He's definitely mentally ill. Probably bipolar. I'm bipolar and spent many months in psychiatric units he would not stand out in the smoking area 😁

FuckOffBorisYouTwat · 22/12/2020 23:01

And of course he says insightful things. When in full blown psychosis I am on fucking fire. I (in all seriousness) have done about 2 years of schematic planning in a month: organised huge successful, campaigns whilst simultaneously believing that my dog was God in disguise and talking to me through Netflix.
Most bipolar people are above average academically and can be lucid most of the time.

openallthetime · 22/12/2020 23:58

@fuckoffborisyoutwat - thanks for the insight! I have a bipolar family member and this has shed a little light.
