My DPs boss is one of the "freedom warriors" who think that there is a massive conspiracy around the pandemic. I haven't really listened to much of him, although I do occasionally laugh at some idiotic meme he posts on Fb k. I know everyone is titled to their own opinion, so until now I've just stayed quiet. However, today he likened the corona virus to the Jewish holocaust and said it was basically a mass cull. I have now blocked him, but AIBU to think this comparison is disgusting and downright offensive to holocaust victims

It's entirely inappropriate. It's times like this I wish there was morality police you could report him to. Hopefully a member of his staff sees it and complains to HR. It's his personal Facebook but there's no place for being such an idiot.

Someone i know shared a post that compared lockdown to concentration camps. About 10 seconds later they sent me a link to a petition saying if I didn't sign it I didn't love my kids. Thank god for the block button.

It's shocking to read how some people think.

One of my friends is friends with someone who is a massive Trump supporter and posts things about libtards and how the election is all rigged. I just don't get how people can really believe that shit.

Ex has also decided recently that the COVID crisis has been massively overstated and that more people would have died of the flu. I have zero interest so just cut him off when he starts, but it's really shocking how many people actually believe this.

I think with the holocaust comment you can report to Facebook and they may block the comment.

Apart from the fact its offensive on many levels, he's displaying a huge lack of judgement, which is not a quality you want in a manager. (understatement lol)

Would love to report him but he is the owner of the landscaping company! From what I can understand, most of his staff are so disgusted that they are leaving in the new year!

I haven’t voted because - although he sounds like a total fool - I don’t know what he means. A mass cull by whom, targeting whom? I doubt he means to be offensive, he probably really thinks it.

Sadly I have to quite regularly tell people on social media (not friends, luckily) that it's not acceptable to do this. Most usually it's about 'oooh, it's like living under the Nazis when someone can report you to police for have 24 people at your house during a pandemic' Hmm
