Just that. I rarely use Instagram but found myself scrolling Britney Spears account today. It’s incredibly unnerving. She is clearly very very unwell. I found some of her videos disturbing and hard to watch.

Anyone see the elderly man with dementia on BBC? He composed some music live on the BBC morning news, it was recorded by the BBC orchestra and being released.

Yes! This was beautiful. The song is called "Four notes - Paul's Tune"

You know Jamie Lynn has had part control of the estate since 2018. She has power to move money around to and from the boys trust Britney set up in 2004.

No she doesn't. She's been a trustee of the trust fund set up to protect the children in the event of Britney's death, since 2018.

*Jamie Spears takes an annual salary of roughly $130,000 (£104,000) for his role of taking care of his daughter's finances and overseeing her mental health.... Jamie Lynn also gets a wage.

What relevance does her dad's salary for being a 24/7 caretaker have to her sister's very minor role as a future trustee hypothetically overseeing Britney's wishes should she die while her children are still miners? Do you have any actual facts on how much the sister "earns", and do you have any evidence that Britney's sister is dodgy, because you're making very strange and unsavoury insinuations on zero evidence.

We know that Britney does not want her father involved in her care because she's taken steps to remove him. We also have the evidence of the fight with her son, and the son's social media posts. None of that reflects negatively on Britney's sister, and there's nothing to indicate that Britney resents or opposes her sister being trustee - in fact the opposite.

SweetCruciferous · 05/12/2020 20:46

If you’re talking about the videos you’re being incredibly ridiculous – she’s just dancing, and there’s absolutely nothing ‘manic’ about them at all.

The pic of her with her bf’s hands around her neck was a bit odd tho.

EmilyinWolverhampton · 05/12/2020 20:46

*minors obviously, not miners!

Bluntness100 · 05/12/2020 20:50
@Bluntness100 - if her condition is genetic I think it’s fair to say her life and environment has certainly had an impact.
Well no. Genetic means you’re born with it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Loads of singers dance like that! And the smudgy eye makeup and messy hair is also not particularly alarming - lots of people opt for that sort of look.

tryingharder92 · 05/12/2020 20:52

@feelingmehmeh

What work has she had done on her face?

Still looks 35.

Sad that's shes still trying to be 17 years old. Very sad.

She's only 39
Lavenderfieldsofprovence · 05/12/2020 20:54

@SebastianTheCrab

I find it really sad too. I saw her in Vegas and in concert a few times but after her breakdown. She's clearly extremely unwell.

I actually agree with the conservatorship though - it's clear she can't be trusted to look after her own affairs. Every guy she ever went with (after Justin sob) was a com0lete loser. Remember the paparazzo she lived with?

Check out her sister Jamie Lynn's Insta too. Some incredibly uncomfortable pics of Jamie's teen daughter looking deeply uncomfortable next to her step dad (Jamie's husband). A few people in the comments noted it and then Jamie turned the comments off. I pray her daughter is OK.

Yeah they are worrying pics aren’t they. Particularly the one at her little sisters birthday. It looks like she’s trying to stop his hand touching her. Poor girl.
SweetCruciferous · 05/12/2020 20:56

Yep @MaryMashedThem

I happened to see her IG a few weeks ago and noticed her make up was a bit smudgy and that was it. It’s hardly a sectionable offence is it. I thought oh, she’s looking a bit older, then, well she looks great actually and looks really comfortable in herself. The dancing just seemed like the typical stuff a dancer in lockdown might post.

thisismycodename · 05/12/2020 21:02

There was a thread on this on here a while ago, it was called something like 'the free Britney movement'.

It's so sad. She's obviously not very well, I too think she's stuck in the 00's, she dresses in those fashions a lot of the time (the super low rise jeans and cropped tops, it's so 00's). What a difficult life she must have had.

BeigeFoodLover · 05/12/2020 21:09

I’m only at the end of page 2 of this thread, but I’ve always thought it her parents did thei to her. They forced her into showbiz, they forced her brand, and then as her mental health declined and she was desperate to make her own decisions it all went wrong. I feel so sad for her, and her kids. I feel like she’s a cash cow to her family and nothing else, her sister isn’t in a much better situation either.

leopardspotsdotdotdot · 05/12/2020 21:16
@ancientgran you aren’t wrong in that many people with mental illness enjoy sexual relationships. The issue here is that Britney has been legally deemed to lack capacity. That means she is unable to make rational decisions or consent. By its very definition that would make her unable to consent to sex in legal terms.
Who has deemed her to lack ‘capacity’? The fact her financial affairs are managed doesn’t mean she lacks ‘capacity’ to make decisions in other areas of her life.

It’s possible she’s at risk of people financially abusing her which is why her finances are controlled. But doesn’t mean she can’t consent to sex.
I saw a story about a young couple marrying the other day - they both had Down syndrome. So do they lack ‘capacity’ to enjoy a relationship?

So much speculation - I’m not sure any of us know the truth.

Esse321 · 05/12/2020 21:21

its not just conservator of financial affairs though her father also had conservator power over her personal affairs, is that the same as power of attorney?

Zofloramummy · 05/12/2020 21:33

@leopardspotsdotdotdot I don’t disagree! But the conservatorship does involve more than financial decisions, it includes where she can live, who she can see, what she can do etc. Making a judgement that removes all personal control is saying that she lacks capacity.
So from a legal standpoint she is unable to consent to sex. She isn’t allowed a mobile phone or to go shopping alone either. This is far more restrictive than financial control.

Fortheloveoficecream · 05/12/2020 21:39

That instagram is very sad and I am completely speculating here but I wonder if she has the behavioural variant of frontal temporal dementia being as they've said it is genetic as she reminds me of a client I had who was also in her 30s and also had a guardianship order.

Is the published somewhere?

She clearly has a boyfriend and possibly a phone.

MillyA · 05/12/2020 21:42

In response to a PP saying she isn't "allowed outside" - that's not true.

A quick scroll of her feed shows her cliff diving, eating out in restraunts, going on holiday etc Confused

ChocBeforeCock · 05/12/2020 21:46

@MaryMashedThem

I don't actually see anything that different on her Insta than on most other young female celebs. Endless selfies, attempts at sexy dancing / yoga poses, and the odd "inspirational" quote. But I know nothing about her personal life; I don't even know what a conservatorship is. So maybe if you're looking at it with prior knowledge of her having some MH issues then you interpret her posts in a way that reaffirms that 🤷🏼‍♀️
I have had a look and I know nothing about her mental health, and don’t think the dancing videos are that concerning, but some of it is.

Watch the video from October in the green bikini where she gives advice on 5 things to take to the beach and it’s literally like towel, hat etc. Someone on this thread mentioned childlike and that’s exactly what it is, it’s a video of the complexity my 5 year old nephew would make. There may be some explanation not related to her mental health, but it’s not the sort of thing you see in most female celebrities’ profiles.

SOmuchsparkle · 05/12/2020 21:47

This is a horrific situation. So sad.

Zofloramummy · 05/12/2020 21:52

Britney has a financial and personal conservatorship so whilst she is ‘allowed’ outside she has to be given permission to do so. I am not arguing that she shouldn’t have a relationship, what I’m saying is she has been deemed to lack the ability to make rational decisions in most aspects of her life and this would also include relationships.

I disagree with the restrictions placed upon her but it would be wrong to say it was only financial.

Every one in any control of Britneys money takes a paycheque each year, so yes her sister will be getting paid to look after it. As did her ex fiancé a few years ago. Jamie Lynn requested the money be moved to different accounts during the conservatorship case this year. Jaime Spears signed off on it.

Britney wants to have full control of her finances and life, hence her getting her own lawyer and the current case.

Arthersleep · 05/12/2020 21:56

I must be missing something because, having just looked at her Instagram page, I don't see anything sinister. The 'strangulation' photo looks more like he's going to cup her chin to me and is just goofing around and is next to another one where he is kissing her. Both look happy and affectionate rather than violent or disturbing. And the video of her spinning shows someone just demonstrating their dance abilities to me. She doesn't seem to be locked up in her house as her video of her at the coast attests to.

EveryoneRevealsThemselves · 05/12/2020 22:14
