God this thread has made me realise my mum is infinitely cooler than I am! I own lots of stuff she wouldn't be seen dead with (collapsible laundry basket / power mop / etc etc). Is time going backwards?

Me and my late DM had diametrically opposed tastes in most things, other than a shared passion for rummaging in charity shops Grin. I do now own - and wear - a lot of her costume jewellery as a way to feel close to her.

In laws had everything ercol. I swore Id never have it...we now have a table , chairs and sideboard. Love its retro look plus it looks like it will last forever...stuff my mum used to say...argggh!
