This has just popped into my inbox in a Waitrose mailing. Are, not sure when he became a wine expert instead of a slab. AIBU that experts should actually be just that?

And, as it's AIBU:

There just seems to be so many jumping on the bandwagon. It puts me off if anything but if an actual expert showcases then I'm much more likely to part with the dosh. I think he has always been a bit of a wine buff though. He has an extensive wine collection and his own wine.

It does seem like he knows his stuff, he's a sleb and wine expert. I don't think Waitrose would have wanted to collaborate if not.

If you read the piece from decanter.com it's a bit more than buying wine for years.

I don't give a stuff about him or whether he is any kind of expert on anything but what I do find the most irritating is watching his stupid head going from side to side on spin to win. I need not watch him so nobody bother telling me but I do like to see if any callers win the big money (specially in these times and near to Xmas).

I happened to catch a brilliant Spin to Win this week. Rita I think her name was and her husband and dog. She was fabulously bonkers.
