This has just popped into my inbox in a Waitrose mailing. Are, not sure when he became a wine expert instead of a slab. AIBU that experts should actually be just that?

He might be a long term collector but I'd still rather read what a trade wine buyer thinks. While Philip Schofield's bagged that column for some extra pocket money and an ego boost someone whose main income stream is wine journalism has lost one of the few writing gigs going. I was quite surprised at Waitrose when I saw it - the Food magazine usually celebrates the real people growing, cooking, buying, etc.

When you said that you were amazed Waitrose went for him I thought you thought it was a recent thing that's all. It was back in 2013. I guess him being on This Morning wasn't an issue then or now.

I hate his smug face and know-it-all persona. He is everywhere which TBF is not his fault - I just cant understand why he is so popular! I would refuse to buy anything associated with the slimy wee git.

Why? It's not like he's dipping his cock in the gin after he's just shoved it up some blokes arse.

I have no idea what the real story is behind PS so can't really make any judgement on him. Stephanie seems happy enough to stay married to him (and she could take him to the cleaners if she wanted).

Johnny Depp had his ad posters changed from Sauvage to sausage which at least made me chuckle. I still don't get the sleb = people will buy it though. Ah well.
