Doing this to a child is wrong

BBC report : His said his 14-year-old daughter had not left her bedroom for four days, with meals being left outside her door, until the family learned the result was void on Thursday

This is so wrong to do to a child

What does a child's cartoon have to do with a child probably quite happily isolating? Now you are sounding unhinged. Fwiw dc are big spirit fans so have seen it many times - not getting the connection?!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 29/11/2020 12:56

@SchrodingersImmigrant I give you... lasagna toastie

Also toast sandwich

flaviaritt · 29/11/2020 12:57

Maybe turn the phone/computer off and interact with your kid? You've been on here since 8am.

My ‘kid’ is happy with her dad and I am also working right now (I am self-employed). We’ve been out for a couple of hours together. But thanks for your input.

Nothing. Neither does this discussion have anything to do with a child happily isolating. This is about confinement against the child’s will.

ILoveYou3000 · 29/11/2020 12:58

@JesusInTheCabbageVan lasagne toastie? Why have I never heard of this before?

BadLad · 29/11/2020 12:58

Oldie but goodie

ILoveYou3000 · 29/11/2020 13:00

@BadLad 😂😂😂

slashlover · 29/11/2020 13:01

I'm vegetarian but that lasagne toastie looks amazing. I once did a toastie with jam and cheese spread which was actually quite good.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 29/11/2020 13:01

@ILoveYou3000 sadly I've never been able to try it, because we never have any leftover lasagna.

😱😱😱

lyralalala · 29/11/2020 13:03

Jesus Christ it’s still going 😂😂

slashlover · 29/11/2020 13:03

I'm now in the mood for a cheese and crisp sandwich but I have no decent bread or crisps and can't be bothered going to the shops, will add it to the list for tomorrow.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 29/11/2020 13:04

I loooooooove toasties. Grew up on them buggers. All my classmates were envious and tried to buy them off me. Was very surprised when I found out they are a Garden centre food in UK😂

lyralalala · 29/11/2020 13:05

Lasagne toasties rock. Work much better when the lasagne is a day or two old as it holds better.

I’m a bit of a heathen as I actually prefer it on a buttered roll than toast (my Nana often said I’d put anything on a roll!)

So why did you mention it, and why are you making up the 'against their will' bit? Because nowhere in the article does it state that.

midnightstar66 · 29/11/2020 13:07

I had a cheese and macaroni cheese toaster at work the other day - food of gods! Might add coleslaw next time.

I don't know how I feel about this. It sounds wrong, but I can't help thinking it'd be delicious.

I was worried I'd missed the end of the thread, pesky prisoners want feeding.

slashlover · 29/11/2020 13:09

Macaroni cheese on toast is amazing, double carbs all the way.

It ended up tasting a bit like a strawberry mousse.

Because she’s like a dog with a bone who is determined to prove that sensible teenagers who have been brought up to understand and accept that staying in your room when you have a contagious illness is just what you do are poor in fact abused and neglected children with hideous parents

Which is actually insulting to any of us who had properly abusive and neglectful parents

ILoveYou3000 · 29/11/2020 13:11

Okay so I want one of these and a lasagne toastie and I heard cheese and crisp sandwich! Only problem is I can't eat bread 😭

lyralalala · 29/11/2020 13:12

Poor was meant to be after in fact

Fat fingers
