I figured it can't hurt to share here (rather than on local Facebook groups!).

Mine are:
Sainsburys: Mini breaded cambemberts (bloody hell they're good!).
Aldi: Torro Loco red wine, and "extra special" cauliflower cheese
M&S: Dulce de leche truffles

All very healthy as you can see....

Also, I must confess that I am a supermarket whore. I am within a 30 minute walk of Tesco, Sainsburys, M&S, Aldi, Lidl, Iceland, Asda and Waitrose. I have a problem

Morrisons packet crumbed ham I just scoff it out the packet Blush

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 21/11/2020 21:56

Actually, Aldi's posh salt and vinegar crisps are amazing. I reckon they're the same as the coop fancy ones which are much more expensive.

HoHoHolyMackerel · 21/11/2020 21:58

Hmm I now want ghd aldi wine....

Any recommendations for white wine? I like a good sauvignon from the taste the difference range at sainsburys but would love a bargain..

I also love eating morrisins ham out of the packet. I find aldi nappies superior. They also do graze knock off snack bags, big ones, for 99p

HoHoHolyMackerel · 21/11/2020 21:59

Ghd wine... Right. So it sounds like I've drank the wine and I haven't even had a whiff. Bloody phone

Mrsjayy · 21/11/2020 22:01

Since lockdown I've been buying Sainsbury's house box wine it isn't too bad I like the pinot grigio and the Rosê

kitschplease · 21/11/2020 22:02

Sainsbury's prawn toast and veg spring rolls from the chiller.

Benjispruce2 · 21/11/2020 22:03

Yes to Aldi no 4 hand wash. I think it’s pear and freesia but it’s rarely in my Aldi so I settle for No1 lime and basil which is good too. Aldi Choceur chocolate with hazelnuts is divine as is their frozen mash, cauliflower cheese, several wines and Lacura rose face oil.

Mummyoply · 21/11/2020 22:04

Aldi Benefit breakfast bars are identical to Alpen and less than half the price, in fact the choc fudge and Jaffa cake flavours are better!
There choc orange rice cake bars are amazing too, diary free and good on the calorie count.

HoHoHolyMackerel · 21/11/2020 22:05

Ooh I've just remembered. The mamia bars are fantastic. Not for me obv, but my toddlers love them and they're about a third of the price of organix or similar.

kitschplease · 21/11/2020 22:05

Aldi amaretto too!

Attictroll · 21/11/2020 22:06

Lots on here I love - if they are your kind of thing the lidl dark choc ginger biscuits...are brilliant

MondeoFan · 21/11/2020 22:07

Aldi - thin square flatbread pizza - calabrese salami utterly delicious
Aldi- lemon posset in glass jar

Pomegranatemolasses · 21/11/2020 22:08

Aldi potato gratin is fab. Also their stuffed portobello mushrooms.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 21/11/2020 22:08

Brilliant thread...

Tesco - Pure filtered milk, ciabatta rolls, Greek yoghurt
Co-op - meatballs to cook, beats all of them, bakery sausage rolls
Lidl - crusty bread rolls, taste like the proper German semelln.
M&S - Cove Cheddar, thin sliced ham (cheapest), it's lovely! Frozen cod fillet nuggets, frozen roast potatoes
Aldi - ketchup
Waitrose - tuna pate, sushi - never fresh fish from there
Morrisons - fresh salmon fillets - best ever fish
Asda - donuts, also fresh fish

Mrsjayy · 21/11/2020 22:08

Aldi Irish cream I prefer it to Bailey's although it goes off quicker than Bailey's

MondeoFan · 21/11/2020 22:09

Aldi - Frozen white chocolate and raspberry roulade
Aldi- Skin on Fries
Aldi - Gluten Free Dark Choc Peanut Bars

Bearsbearsbears40 · 21/11/2020 22:09

Sainsbury’s chorizo (not ready to eat, the one that needs to be cooked); Tesco ham - the prepacked one from the deli section; M&S lime curd buns - they’re amazing!

SaltyAF · 21/11/2020 22:10

Aldi do a really good chocolate chunk cookie too - the premium type that you pay a fortune for elsewhere. I also like their cooked meats for work sandwiches, the chicken and stuffing in particular.

Morrisons smooth orange juice is lovely.

Sainsbury's do a beautiful giant couscous and feta salad.

TolstoyAteMyHamster · 21/11/2020 22:10

I really miss having an Aldi nearby.

Waitrose taramasalata is very good indeed.

Tvchocolatetea · 21/11/2020 22:10

I am pregnant and bloody hungry and this thread is making me drool. I want food. 😭

BrightYellowDaffodil · 21/11/2020 22:10

Lidl’s truffle pasta. They don’t always have it but it is lush - cook, drizzle with some olive oil and sprinkle over some flaked salt. It’s £1.69 a packet and it’s bloody lovely.

I also really rate almost every wine I’ve had from Aldi, and I rate the Toro Loco too. Strangely, Lidl’s wine (with the notable exception of their Prosecco) is the same price point but not very nice IME.

TolstoyAteMyHamster · 21/11/2020 22:11

And seconding the mention of Iceland salt and vinegar fish bites up thread. They are delicious.
