I think there are plenty of people in Fox News who have been willing to play fast and loose but still have their red lines. They're looking at Trump trampling (Trumpling?) all over them and realise it's beyond what they can tolerate.

I found this to be an interesting insight into what a Fox News journalist can be:

It's Megyn Kelly, ex-Fox News, strongly conservative, but no one's fool:

During Thursday's presidential debate, Kelly pressed Trump about misogynistic, sexist comments he made in the past, such as calling some women "fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals."
Trump slammed Kelly, saying her questions were "ridiculous" and "off-base."
"You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes," Trump told CNN's Don Lemon on Friday night. "Blood coming out of her wherever."
@SonjaHeniesTutu I would pay very good money to see the Librarian take the orange one firmly, but gently - and giving one of his 'smiles' - by the hand and lead him into the Library...

For the uninitiated, you don't know what you're missing - I suggest starting with Guards! Guards! for a rollicking read and an excellent introduction to Our World Grin
Grin and please please let trump say, 'But it's a monkey!'....hehehe

Yohoheaveho · 21/11/2020 17:11

Javanka wont give a toss about Trump and would happily let him take the hit if it means they save their skins
but trump understands this and thats why he makes sure that they've all been complicit in his wrong doing, everyone is compromised, if he falls they all fall with him

BruceAndNosh · 21/11/2020 17:28

I read that the latest round of begging emails yesterday from Trump Campaign to support their fight have quietly amended the small print and the % going to Trump's PAC has increased from 60% to 75%. He's not only feathering his nest, he's got himself a pension plan for retirement

Reminds me a little of Dave Gorman trolling Alan "Lord" Sugar ...

@NurseButtercup

It is interesting to me Fox is breaking ranks, especially when it is clear their customers are going to go elsewhere for news.

There'll be a commercial reason for this no doubt. But I wonder what they're betting on.

Rupert Murdoch will have his eye on the share price and I understand it has been falling. I cannot recall my source so please don't quote me!

Can't see any obvious correlation looking at: www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/foxa

Although I did see this news below:

FOX News Digital Network Records Highest Month of Multiplatform Views in History

Which vaguely reminded me of a gag about people buying Beatles records just to burn them. Maybe outraged Trump supporters are deliberately switching (back ?) to Fox News just to complain about it. Which I am sure will really piss it's advertisers off.

TheNorthWestPawsage · 21/11/2020 18:26

Yawn.

1.President Trump's lawyers have filed a new brief explaining why it should get a restraining order to block Pennsylvania from certifying the election results, and it starts off a lot like the others in that it misspells the name of the governor.

2. Trump's lawyers say they are likely to prevail on their claims that illegal votes were counted and that volunteers were unable to watch vote-counting closely enough. (This seems unlikely because they actually dropped both counts from the lawsuit, apparently accidentally?)

3. Trump's lawyers acknowledge that they dropped the claims on which they just told a judge they are likely to prevail, but say they hope to add them back in pretty soon and anyway they're kind of in there somewhere.

4. Trump's brief leans pretty heavily on Marks v. Stinson. But that was a case in which a court actually found election officials conspired with a candidate to commit a fraud. Trump's lawsuit doesn't even allege that, though his briefs claim some sort of pro-Biden favoritism.

Oh god, this is going to go on into January isn't it?.

BruceAndNosh · 21/11/2020 19:27

I'm sure a few of his Co world leaders had to mute their microphones so no one could hear them laughing...

Lweji · 21/11/2020 19:28

And they were polite enough to keep their thoughts to themselves.

BruceAndNosh · 21/11/2020 19:51

But Trump still didn't stay online for later sessions with G20, preferring to slope off and play golf. They were only discussing pandemic preparedness, which obviously he had no interest in.
Apparently he was live tweeting 10 minutes into the opening session. Bloody rude.

tobee · 21/11/2020 21:09

Did anyone else see this from HuffPost? Further Trump failure to concede knock on:- 😏

Trump is exploring ways to make money for relatively little work, such as giving paid speeches or selling tickets to rallies. He also may try to write a score-settling memoir and appear on television. Via @AshleyRParker @PhilipRucker

I thank you all for your contributions to this thread.

Is it just me, or have things regarding voter fraud quietened down a bit now? For sure Biden is keeping quiet and allowing the Trumpists to kid themselves and show up their idiocy all on their own.

BruceAndNosh · 22/11/2020 00:13

McNinny was on Fox and Friends Saturday insisting they are going to the Supreme Court to win by proving systems fraud
Don't know why, Trump isn't showing the least bit of interest in being President. He just doesn't want to be an ex President

PatriciaHolm · 22/11/2020 00:19

PA have just thrown out the latest court case. "With prejudice" - basically, saying there is zero merit to it and they can't refile.

www.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.pamd.127057/gov.uscourts.pamd.127057.202.0_1.pdf

The Judge in the Giuliani/Pennsylvania case is on fire in throwing out the Trump case.

"This Court has been presented with ... speculative accusation ... unsupported by evidence. In the United States of America, this cannot justify the disenfranchisement of a single voter, let alone all the voters of its sixth most populated state."

Via @davidfrum on Twitter.

BruceAndNosh · 22/11/2020 00:31

@PatriciaHolm thank you for explaining what With Prejudice means

BruceAndNosh · 22/11/2020 00:58

I can't work out how to link to the tweet but this lawyer has a good thread summary going

Thanks @BruceAndNosh

Great summary.

SabrinaThwaite · 22/11/2020 06:30

In a nice twist, Judge Mark Brann, who just threw out Trump’s PA case, is a Republican.

The ruling is here if you want to enjoy the full take down:
