@EveryoneRevealsThemselves
I really want it to be! Love it

EveryoneRevealsThemselves · 27/11/2020 23:10

It reminds me of the time The Last Leg followed Trump around in Scotland with a tuba.

In the wake of Jenna and Rudys "hearing" in Gettysburg, a Republican Senator is attempting to have the Legislature appoint the electors to E college rather than the Governor. The GOP carries a majority in both House and Senate in PA.

www.wbap.com/news/pa-state-senator-moving-to-have-legislature-appoint-electors/

MS Ellis is dancing with glee all over twitter despite the fact that several PA. GOP members have already said the electors should be chosen as per the voting, for Biden.

BruceAndNosh · 28/11/2020 05:52

And results of Milwaukee County recount are in.
+132 votes for Biden
Grin

justawoman · 28/11/2020 06:54

Trump paid $3m to find 132 extra votes for Biden 😂

boatyardblues · 28/11/2020 08:00

DH was just laughing his head off about the Wisconsin recount.Grin

@EveryoneRevealsThemselves

Rousette I even wondered if it was someone on this thread who might have set it up ;)
It was the Led by Donkeys people! Who did all the brilliant anti-Brexit anti-Tory billboards.

I wish. But actually it was the poor suckers who have bought into his lies and are giving money to him who paid it. I feel sorry for them; chances are they don't have all that much to spare because of his incompetence and grift.

PerkingFaintly · 28/11/2020 11:21

Yes, I feel sorry for the small donors, AskingQuestions, who may have genuinely believed they were protecting democracy.

That venture capitalist and long-time Trumpie, Fred Eshelman, in lionheart's link, though... I am Grin like a good 'un at him.

What, you paid $2.5 million dollars to the cult of a known sociopathic liar? What could possibly go wrong?Grin

I adore that he's now doing the Trumpiest of Trumpy manoeuvres and suing to try to get his money back. Hahahahahahah! Good luck, with that. I don't care who wins, but I'll pay not very much to watch!

Does Trump really want to go to the Supreme Court and lose? If (when) the Supreme Court dismisses the allegations that Trump has made, won't that be a real humiliation to him ?

Ben Ginsberg, a Republican election lawyer who co-chaired the bipartisan 2013 Presidential Commission on Election Administration, said the Supreme Court taking up the case would be a welcome development to put an end to Trump's counterproductive efforts to unravel democracy.

"We should only hope that he takes this case in Pennsylvania up to the Supreme Court, because that will explode the other myth that judges are just going to lay down for him and do his bidding, because they are Republican judges," Ginsberg said on "Erin Burnett OutFront" Friday.

"What his followers will see, once he is out of office, is that there were a lengthy string of losses, losses, losses and that in effect is going to be part of his legacy when we look back at this."

Mittens030869 · 28/11/2020 11:55

I think that's exactly what Trump wants, to get the Pennsylvania case referred to the Supreme Court. It's the reason why he was so keen for an ultra conservative Justice to be appointed, so that they would be more likely to vote in his favour.

But why would they? They're lifetime appointees who he can't intimidate by threatening to fire them. They also won't want to be forever tarnished by having aided and abetted in subverting democracy when Trump has long gone.

And if they don't vote in his favour?

Can you imagine the tweets from him if that happened?

"Enemies of the people"?

Grrrpredictivetex · 28/11/2020 12:03

Made me laugh 😂

DGRossetti · 28/11/2020 12:40

Unless I am missing something, it's not the plaintiff that gets to decide what cases SCOTUS hears, but SCOTUS.

Unless there's something in the PA court-appeal-supreme court ruling (and haven't they all rejected the case at every step ?) that suggests a conflict with the US constitution, then SCOTUS will just go: No thanks. That's not for us. and that will be that ?

There's also the question of what remedy a court can order. Even SCOTUS can't order a rerun of the election. I guess they could void any electoral college result ????

PerkingFaintly · 28/11/2020 12:41

A lot of this is just conspiracy theatre.

Hence the toytown court filings by Powell: she may be unhinged as well, but that's irrelevant because the audience isn't the judge, it's the country.

Trump himself might be upset if he doesn't win at the Supreme Court, but he's feeding off the attention regardless, and the disruptivists will be happy whichever way it goes.

Saw a headline today saying "Trump confirms he will leave the White House." That headline must be a first about any US president who has lost an election, and he just loves firsts, so...

EveryoneRevealsThemselves · 28/11/2020 13:36

@Grrrpredictivetex that is superb.

And while we’re talking about depressing stats on corona and the USA, South Dakota has hit a new milestone apparently, one in every 1000 has died from the pandemic.

I am still concerned about any case reaching SCOTUS. Remember that the justices split 4-4 over a Republican plea to undo a state court order and force elections officials to ignore absentee ballots received after Election Day, Nov. 3. This was during the hiatus between RBG's death and Barrat's appointment. And now they are 9... Plus the recent science --ignoring judgement against limiting number attending religious services

Not just SD. A total of nine states have hit that 'milestone'; NY, NJ, MA, CT, LA, RI, MS, ND, and now SD.

EveryoneRevealsThemselves · 28/11/2020 14:00

It just gets more depressing @AcrossthePond55
